The lights were out in the pent house when Malachi stumbled in around three in the morning, he had been out with Theo all day and stumbling in at this time meant that the angel had lost track until Theo fell asleep in front the TV. Having put him to bed, Mal had come home, high on the day and the biggest smile on his face as he made his way through the dark and into the kitchen, where Cosimo kept the beers. He didn’t see him sitting there until the light of the fridge illuminated the kitchen. “Good evening... morning, whatever it is. Oops.” Mal laughed a little. “I hope you weren’t waiting up? I did send you a text. I sent it, right? I’m sure it went through, Theo double checked.”
