GUYS IVE HAD AN EPIPHANY!
So in Fable 2 after you escape with Reaver through his Rear Passage, and usually when you finish the main quest, you can buy his mansion in Bloodstone.
In Fable 3, you go to Bower Lake (now called Millfields) and Reaver has not only built over the Guild entrance/Hero Hill, but has also bought the land that had the camp Sparrow grew up in.
I think it is 100% Reaver’s pettiness that because Sparrow bought his Mansion, Reaver was like
“Oh no, that’s fine your majesty! I didn’t like that mansion anyways! Where did you say you grew up again? Bower Lake you say? Oh no reason just curiosity is all.”
And then proceeded to buy out every spot that was sentimental to Sparrow just because they touched his stuff.
I am neck deep in Fable brainrot (as if it ever ends) and have you ever thought about the fact that Rose’s wish does get granted — just in the worst possible way?
Because we know from Rose’s diary that her wish to be in the castle is more about her younger sibling than it is for her. She’s the older one, looking after Sparrow is her responsibility. So, she wishes they could live in the castle. So that Sparrow will be safe at last. She doesn’t live to see that her wish does end up coming true.
Sparrow takes the castle when Lucien is finally killed. They suffer so much between that wish and when they stand in front of the throne — their throne — for the first time.
They’ve died twice. They’ve lost friends, they’ve been tortured, they’ve saved the world from Lucien and his madness. The empty, cavernous halls of the castle are theirs. The sound of the music box echoes in their ears.
The relic granted Rose’s wish, it simply made the world bleed for it.
And when Sparrow builds the reliquary under Brightwall, they shove that accursed music box inside its depths, never turning back even as it plays its soothing melody.
The guild seal becomes the key they take to their grave, only a Hero could retrieve the music box and they hope and pray against fate that being a “Hero” rots with them.
They could never know that years later their youngest child will open that door, and the relic of the Old Kingdom, that sat silent and patient for so long, begins to spin again and play its soft tune, ready to have its way with fate once more.
Hammer waiting for 8 months and 23 days in Brightwood for Sparrow to meet her but Sparrow is on that grind and has to reach 5-star ranking in all the jobs before going to fight some bandits and furries (balverines)
Wow, new sketch of Reaver and Sparrow
Translation:
Reaver: It's just business, honey, nothing personal~
Sparrow: Are you kidding me?! I've only been gone for a couple of hours, and you've already betrayed me?!
