I’m making another blog specifically for my many BG3 OC’s (momma Nyx Lairinsi included) so once it’s done I’ll link it. I might also redo their designs since @multicolouredmonster was kind enough to help me with mods and if I can get them to install/work give them some new looks, fix their hair, etc.

So if you’re interested in the shenanigans of The Noble House Lairinsi of Baldur’s Gate, stay tuned for edited in game designs, some screenshots of playthroughs, comics of the siblings with their love interests and some more of their backstories.

There will be laughs, there will be tears, there might be some spice, definitely some angst. All from the horrible void that is my brain!

I know he’s a secret agent of Umbrella and there’s still not a lot known about him but I like to imagine the HUNK we see in the Code Veronica remake was able to get into that apartment building so easily because the old lady who runs it and greeted Claire is his grandma, and she catches him threatening Claire and uses his full *redacted* government name and shames him for being rude to a guest. Especially after she was inviting Claire to have some tea and cookies with her and then HUNK is forced to stay and have an awkward tea party with his nana and Claire Redfield.

So I might be tardy to the party on this but I just found a website called “PoseMy.Art” that lets you pose reference models so you have something to actually look at when you draw. They have a free version and a paid version (only used the free one) and all I can say is WHY ISNT THIS TALKED ABOUT MORE?! I just made a whole posed scene on my IPad that I would’ve never been able to find blank reference drawings for! Now I can do it myself! They have models with demon, angel and fairy wings! They have models on beds and couches and chairs! They have couples poses, AND YOU CAN MOVE EVERY MODEL IF YOU NEED TO IMPROVISE A POSE! If my IPad’s battery didn’t suck I’d still be on it right now!

Whisper and the Hero of Oakvale were never friends and you can fight me on that.

Maybe Whisper viewed their relationship as friends and as them having a friendly rivalry, but I doubt the HoO viewed her the same way.

Every interaction with her involves her projecting her own insecurities onto him, mocking him, and trying to one up him. Even when she's trying to be playful it can come off as a thinly veiled insult.

The HoO grew up in the Guild being forced to shove down his grief and be roommates with someone who views him as competition instead of a companion.

Growing up together, training together, taking meals together does not make anyone friends.

And their lack of friendship, in my opinion, is truly shown by how rarely Whisper on his side.

Throughout the game, everything has to be a competition to her, with her consistently instigating because she can't get over the fact that she's insecure, that her brother is why she feels inadequate, not the HoO.

I firmly believe that if they were true friends, she would have left him be and tried to be a great Hero WITH him, not stand against him so often. If they were friends she would have treated him better than she did.

Does anyone have any favorite head cannons about the RE characters? Whether it’s commonly known through the fandom or just one you decided felt right. I want to know.

I’ll start

Chris - gives the best hugs, is terrible at flirting. Worked a lot to make sure Claire had some cash to be a kid/go to college. She got scholarships too but he wanted to be sure he could help if needed.

Claire - learned to ride horses because she misses the days of Raccoon City being a small farm town. Would 100% have a farm somewhere if she wasn’t trying to take down corrupt politicians

Jill - Is really good at archery as a hobby. Doesn’t hunt, didn’t learn in the military, didn’t play it in school, just decided it’d be fun.

Leon - Got really good at playing darts after he accidentally broke a window from chucking it too hard and missing the board. Now he can throw one behind his head as a bar trick.

Ada - Loves her job but hates that because she’s always on the go she can’t in good conscience have a pet. She really wants a small dog or a cat that she can cuddle with on the couch after a long trip.

Carlos - Has absolutely called a teacher “mom” on accident and it still haunts him to this day. Loves going to old school arcades to try and get the highest score. His favorite is Dig Dug.

Luis - Likes to make silly faces at people when nobody is watching. He doesn’t care if he gets caught doing it. He makes it a game to see how long he can keep it up before they notice.

Wesker - Never had a birthday party. Not once, until he worked with STARS. He always gave people the day off on their birthday, not to be nice but because he knew some people call off on their birthdays so he got one step ahead to avoid the headache of being unexpectedly down an officer. The others noticed and threw him a surprise party. He still has the group photo they took in silly party hats.

I have very unfortunate news to share regarding @shesmycollaarr / @unlikecharlie. I just got off the phone with the Bucharest police and they confirmed that she was found dead on July 6th.

Charlie has been absolutely, indescribably wonderful to have known. She has been, and always will be, one of the sweetest people to have walked this earth and her memory will be a blessing to everyone who has had the privilege of knowing her.

I hope the afterlife is kind to her, and I hope she is reunited with her dearest friend in a paradise no less beautiful than her own heart and soul.

Rest easy, dear friend.

I never interacted with or talked to Charlie, but I had hoped that this would’ve had a happy ending. I hope that wherever she is, she can see how loved she is and how many lives she touched.

i think i've finally managed to articulate my issue with wesker's design in re4r. the problem is that he looks like any well-dressed fit white dude that you might encounter on the street, and wesker is a character that shouldn't be remotely forgettable or ordinary-looking. he needs to look like he's the outcome of a mad scientist's attempt to create the perfect platonic ideal of a blond man, only the machine malfunctioned 95% of the way through and he came out slightly fucked up and evil

Capcom/Wesker himself can try to say he was indifferent to them, but I’d bet money to say even when they butted heads, these teams of people were the only people to ever treat him like a normal person. They were all the closest he ever got to true friends and companions. They were all in it together even if they were “two” teams. They fought side by side and more than likely bleed and healed together for 2 years. They literally were willing to die to protect each other. Wesker NEVER had anything like that. Not even close. HE had to be the one who chose who died for the cause, HE was the one who until he proved that he was “worthy” was on the chopping block ready to be thrown away for “the improvement of mankind”.

He never knew his real parents. Or even his real name at the end. I highly doubt OG Dr Wesker who was in charge of Project W was a kind “father” to those children in any way, and Albert had to be thrown into boarding schools and excel at everything. Dude got a PHD in Virology by age 17. That takes extreme skill and dedication. Then straight into the US Army.

If he wasn’t being told what to do, he was telling others what to do for “the greater good”. Yet again, I’d bet money on it that Chris and the other guys invited Wesker out drinking with them, even if he said no every time, they kept that offer open. I bet that they all remembered his birthday and made sure to get him something, even if it was small, it was more than he’d most likely ever received in his life. I bet Barry would invite everyone to barbecues at his place and his daughters would ask them all to play games with them.

With STARS Albert had a taste of normal life, and despite his upbringing, despite being raised to reject all this sentimental nonsense, he still couldn’t help but feel something for his fellow officers, even if he himself didn’t know what it was, he knew it was important.

I was going to pick Wesker because I genuinely don’t think the man has actually slept a single night in decades, but with Chris’ PTDS I feel like he probably has the worst sleep, remembering not only all the hell he’s fought, but all the people he’s lost and failed to protect.

Thinking about all of his teammates who died, or the countless innocent lives taken because of Umbrella’s greed and BOWs. Not to mention remembering the trauma of being a child and getting the phone call that your parents are dead, and having himself and his little sister thrown into an orphanage but were somehow lucky enough to have never been picked for either Umbrella’s experiments or Chef Irons’ human trafficking.

That man passed out specifically from pure exhaustion after the adrenaline finally wears off and he’s back at whatever place he’s currently staying at as a “safe” house. He just literally collapses onto whatever he’s wiling to sleep on, couch, bed, floor, doesn’t mater as long as he has secured the area, memorized layout and escape routes, and has multiple weapons stashed in case of emergency

So, I’ve been pulled over a few times in my life. Not many, but a few. And I’ve also been in a couple of cars that got pulled over. And let me tell you, if you were actually doing something wrong, the officer doesn’t make any small talk, just straight into “I clocked you doing 70 in a 55.” The only time I’ve ever gotten the “do you know why I pulled you over?” was the time when I wasn’t doing anything wrong, and I got let go even though he insisted to the end that I was doing 87 in a 70 (white privilege at work).

“Do you know why I pulled you over?” is a trap. It means there’s a good chance the officer doesn’t actually have a good reason to ticket you, and is trying to get you to waive your 5th Amendment rights and incriminate yourself. If you make a guess, that’s a confession of guilt.

But there’s another trap, that I’ve heard of but haven’t yet experienced. It’s “do you know how fast you were going?” With that one, they’re hoping you’ll say no, because then they can name whatever speed they want – you just said you didn’t know how fast you were going, if you deny the speed they name then you’re lying to them.

Oh, I’ve had that one. Go with “yes.” Don’t give them a number, just say “Yes.” Then they still have to offer a number and you can deny it without contradicting yourself. They could just ask you, at that point, but that’s suspiciously similar to saying they don’t know, and they tend to avoid doing that.

Also, you can always go to court and contest a ticket, and a lot of times you’ll win. Or if the cop thinks you’ll win they won’t even show up and you’ll win by default.

They like to target out of state plates because anyone who would be majorly inconvenienced by a court date two months away is a lot more likely to just pay it.
