The last thing I will post for the day before I actually seem to disappear into the void is this nice, very basic update on what is happening with Bleach “Face Again”. If you haven’t heard about this, and obviously this update to the website for “Face Again” is new, I would suggest checking out this gentleman’s video and looking at the website yourself.

It’s all very intriguing. As an author I tell you ‘again’ is a huge teaser word for a title to use, and I’m a little excited but I’m not going to speculate about the project too soon. I would be interested to hear if “Face Again” is the correct/best translation from Japanese or if that is just the only way to spell the title that has been offered so far, so if anyone knows mention away!

thursday’s twilight settles like a silk curtain, soft and smooth and glittering faintly. it looks tempting through the window pane, but doyeon knows better than to believe the face something shows the world. she’s checked the weather, knows it’s far more frigid than the sky lets on — a true february frost. she’s quite content to stay inside, warm in her nook in the quietly shifting café, switching between the works of kim hye-soon and solving organic chemistry equations.

he’s here again. maybe he’s always been here, just as stable as the fact that there’s always been air inner lungs. but she doesn’t notice the breathing in, breathing out, and she doesn’t notice him until the third, separate time she’d asked the neighbouring table to watch her things and it had still been this boy. she’s not startled by it — just quietly accepted it as ordinary, and eventually it had become so.

she wonders if she’s become ordinary to him too. like breathing in, breathing out.

it’s not strange to her when she breaks the white noise to start a conversation with him. as far as she’s concerned, they’re more than just two strangers sitting side by side by now. “no offense,” she starts, putting down her pencil mid-number and prepping her chin on her open-faced palm, “but the chunghwa homework load looks dreadful.”
