do you remember facexplodie's first original songs? i seem to recall his first mlp song being one that primarily featured applejack and i'm pretty sure sgap was his main inspiration for the sound. the video's image was of applejack and the sky behind her was really saturated. i remember also, sgap himself commented on the song saying it was amazing. that exchange likely lead to facexplodie continuing to make music. it was a great song and it's really a shame that it's not reuploaded anywhere.

I’m starting to wish I had made more moves to be the Facexplodie Archival Initiative too, but alas I can be of limited assistance in this matter. Personally I was never as deep in the Facexplodie fandom as I was the SGaP fandom. At best I only know details on the parts of Facexplodie’s music which overlapped with SGaP, namely Apogee to Perigee, Other Animals, and Have Peace Again

I have many of Facexplodie’s songs saved as mp3s in chronological order, which is how I can tell you that the earliest songs I know of are “Spring is Awesome” (heavy on RD vocal splicing), “Sparkle’s Bane” (featuring all the Mane Six), and “A Beautiful Heart (Remix)”. I suspect you shouldn’t have to go far to find a list of song titles (try last.fm, or I can provide mine), and most of Facexplodie’s bigger fans probably have more complete mp3 collections than I, however it remains to be seen if any of them kept copies of the videos

So, an open question to the Facexplodie fans out there: how much did you save?

If you think about it,’Derpy' was the first action of the community taking the show and making it our own, not in connection to it's nostalgic past or what the creators were intentionally presenting. Derpy is as much Brony as anything there is. melskunk in reply to pingaslord23 ((~2012-03))
