In the many tomes belonging to the Hyrule Royal Library, there was one that spoke of the Great Fairies. Ganondorf hadn’t dwelled on it long: Fae were the stuff of legends, wise and powerful enough to never be found by mortal men. Since acquiring a portion of the Triforce, however, Ganondorf was inclined to believe himself something more than mortal.
His third had given him the power to turn Hyrule into a land of shadow, but was incapable of granting his true wish. For that he needed Wisdom and Courage—and who better to help find them than the quite literal font of information that was the Great Fairy of Knowledge?
Finding the place had not been as impossible as the legends made it out to be. Her Fountain was a source of power, and it resonated with his own strongly enough to follow. Ganondorf entered the fountain, footsteps echoing across the stone floor. Its water was luminous, pillars casting shadows along the glittering walls.
Would the fairy be summoned by his presence? They were supposedly attracted to music; Ganondorf could conjure and instrument if necessary, but it seemed impossible that she could go unaware of his intrusion when he could feel her magic around him so strongly. There was a certain familiarity to it. He supposed it made sense: knowledge and power were often one and the same, after all.
