Phoenix Wright can play piano, and well.
Unfortunately for him, he was classically trained, and only ever had much luck reading sheet music rather than trying to play by ear. With enough experimentation and practice, he can play from memory without music in front of him, but he can’t make anything up on demand, which is what leads to him flopping so hard in a situation where he’s expected to play modern tunes on the fly.
