We had a lovely Philadelphia Seed Exchange seed swap after the Vacant Land 215 skill share today. Bri Barton brought a couple beautiful bags of beans, including this Hopi Grey “Maasi Hatiko” Lima (Phaseolus lunatis) she’s been growing at Fair Hill Burial Grounds here in Philly. She said (roughly): “This is the first seed I ever saved and I started saving them four years ago. It is delicious both geeen and as a soup bean, and is incredibly prolific.” She’s a bean seed fanatic. Check out her coloring book about death @everybodycolors (which includes some beautiful castor beans). Finally, happy birthday Bri!! #hopilimabeans #hopigrey #maasihatiko #phaseoluslunatus #fairhillburialgrounds #seedswap #seedkeeping #phillyseed #phillyseedstories #philadelphiaseedexchange #limabeans (at Ramonita de Rodriguez Branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia)
