Issy cooked so hard here that she probably burned a new hole in the ozone layer. It's actually taken me a really long time to make this post because I keep stopping to stare at it. She got their individual vibes on lock, and somehow managed to make causing problems on purpose into a team sport.

Okay, the time has come! You know how I made a teaser a while back and then never followed up? I was busy humming and hawing about which characters to include, but I gotta be honest, I’m still on the fence. So here we go, from left to right, we currently have:

Fairplay

Cheshire Cat

Zack Zatara

Nightstar

The Tornado Twins

And their fearless leader, Jason Todd.

Yes, this is inspired by the upcoming TT run. Yes, Fairplay’s design is basically untouched, but it’s not for the lack of trying. It’s peak, what can I say? I literally couldn’t add paint to that masterpiece no matter how hard I tried. Anyway…

Now, I’m still on the fence about the twins, because although their ages are right for this story, I don’t know if their personalities fit well on the team. Plus, I was hoping for more interesting powers in the lineup, instead of just two of the same powers, you know?

Why didn’t I go with the new characters in the official lineup? Eh. Honestly, neither of them strike me as interesting, character-wise or power-wise. But maybe that will change when their comic comes out? Idk. Anyhoo, let me know your thoughts, who you’d like to see in this lineup and who you wouldn’t.

I’m having a lot of thoughts about a superhero named “Fairplay” being autistic and how interesting that could be if they played on the high sensitivity to unfairness in autistic people, the way that he was abused by Granny Goodness, and how that all might affect him as a character…

but I also know that it’s probably just there to make him seem like a genius savant and it almost certainly isn’t gonna inform any nuance or depth to his character.

New Teen Titans

I know we are all excited about this, and as I’ve posted a couple times today, we have been shown and mini preview for the first issue and what it’ll look like

This is only solidifying my excitement and the fact that I KNOW I will love wildcard but beyond that

I LOVE the style of this and all the colors are just so nice to look at

I cannot wait till we get more information in ref to this and an actual preview !!

And Jason Todd having to learn and navigate Discord is soooo funny to me. I’m also glad the kids have and are using discord cause they are teens and it does just make so much sense
