Jake Grayson (is in a duo group with him called: The Starburst duo; trademark from @starburstpaladin-96)

Friends: (in no order)

1: Thara Ak-Var (later girlfriend and much later wife lol)

2: Mari Grayson (twin sister of Jake Grayson in my canon)

Could see him having civilian friends at school, plus a friend or two that are tamarean (from new tamaran, which is located in a borough in Bludhaven) & a kryptonian (new krypton is a borough in metropolis after my version of Zods invasion/war of the supermen story)

So I know you tend to focus far more on the mainline books than Elseworlds mostly but just curiously to know

What are your opinions overalls about the characters of Mar’i Grayson aka Nightstar from Kingdom Come And Jake Grayson from Nightwing The New Order?

I have a lot of feelings about Mar’i in particular, and all of them are good.

Both her showings in Kingdom Come and in Titans 1999 had a lot to love. In Kingdom Come, I kind of adored the conflict between her and Dick.

Dick was trying so hard to be a good father despite the inevitable end, and she was so terrified — not even just about that perceived end, but of losing him. Her prickliness here came off exactly to me like how a certain someone treats many of his loved ones, caring so much that he tries to push them away instead. She really takes after her father, lol.

And when it comes to her Titans appearance, man, seeing how Dick fell in love with her before even knowing who she was. He wanted to include her, he implicitly trusted her. Was he being a bit of a dumbass in this sense? Yeah, honestly, kind of, considering these were unknown variables in a team infamous for being betrayed. But it was so cute.

Then when he proceeded to flip his shit (in a good way) over the notion of being a father??? My heart, man.

Like he knew his daughter for 5 seconds and wanted her so bad 😭 😭 😭

Also this exchange just kills me a little. Not just the smiling and fondness, which developmentally means neither child grew up to fear their parents’ arguing, but also the “they’re still our fathers”, which means Dick and Roy were still close in raising their kids in the future. Like, aghghghgh.

(Also. “Our” fathers? 🤨 I see what’s happening here you can’t slip this shit by me.)

Anyways, I don’t have quite as much to say about Jake just because I don’t remember New Order very well, but Mar’i is GOATed and I love her.

Day 2 of Mary x Lian propaganda

(sorry for flooding the Lian tagg but what must be done must be done.)

In my universe, Mary and Lian aren't on the same earth, Lian is on normal earth you see in the comics (can't remember the number and too lazy to look it up) while Mary live in a parallel world where things are mostly the same but there are some changes

One of these changes is that Lian did die and not come back, so when Mary started dating else world Lian things got a bit awkward with Roy on her side

She was nervous around him, overly nice but fidgety. Dick and Roy assumed Mary had a little awkward teenage puppy crush on Roy and here, Roy tries to gently but firmly turn her down when...

Was that too confusing? My bad, I'll clear things up (I hope) in future posts

Curious to ask:

What are your opinions in the character of Nightstar from the elseworld Kingdom Come?

From what I've read (which is Kingdom Come, where she contributes jack all, and The Kingdom), I think she's kind of hilarious not gonna lie.

Particularly in The Kingdom: Nightstar, she's such a parallel to Dick around the New Teen Titan/early Nightwing age that the parentage is uncanny. Kind of angsty, but also very sweet, entirely impossible to track. And the entire time Dick is chasing her around like penance for what everyone had to put up with back then with him LMAO. Do you think he thinks about that sometimes? Like, "damn, all of the times I pointed the finger at Bruce while ranting about shit. Damn."

The "GO AWAY" like every single teenager in an argument ever but it was just Dick trying to tell her that he loved her for half the run 💀

or her saying her temper comes from her mom -- like did Kori and Dick never tell her about Outsiders era Dick??? Ever??? Or even like NTT Dick??? Bitch?????? Brother you have been Dick Grayson circa ~1990 and it ain't even funny.

Like tell me this isn't Dick:

Going straight from being enraged about a loved one putting themselves in danger and possibly leaving them to the point of fighting them (cough cough, Batman: Murderer, or literally any other time Bruce has been irresponsible with his own life) only to get it out of her system and hug it out two pages later.

She got her powers from Koriand'r. And Koriand'r is certainly no slouch either when it comes to being expressive. But this is Angstwing 100% and I am not sorry.
