Behold! Every Single Lineup I made for the Shaperaverse! The first was made in early 2019. The more recent was made last week. So thats half a decade... Jesus christ lol.

Apologies for the long post. I literally put exactly 30 images in here! It's turned into Do You Love The Color Of The Art Progress, but I can't bear to put a readmore in there.

The blood red dogs have not released their hold on my mind.

If I had a nickel for every brutal and overly violent special hit squad with their own theme song and mascot based on a dog usually considered to be red, that appears not only in the shaperaverse, or even the Fairypunk trilogy, or even in The Lost Fairy, but specifically appearing in the song War, and was usually out to kill a lot of people but specifically the main character also (The Fairy, Constance, Xander Cale) I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

The overarching theme of The Lost Fairy is GRIEF. It permeates the narrative, even in its narrator. In every character there is grief, but the ways they deal with it are entirely different-- Some with rage, some trying to find meaning in it, some thinking there is no meaning after it.

It's also about new beginnings, that you cannot dwell on the past forever, that there's a new life around the corner, always, even if it hurts.

And I just love how despite the grief and despite the loss, The Lost Fairy also says there's more to this life to love. That there's always something out there to hold onto-- your friends, your family, and even the concept of LOVE out there in the world somewhere. Life continues on, and you can spend all the time you want grieving (in a tree, surrounded by picked flowers) but you cannot let it consume you. You have to keep going.

I'm sure some of you in our little circle have also been curious about a song I keep referencing in regards to Toffee:

A slow but engaging song about a villain and the pressures of responsibility that pushed them into making all the corrupt and difficult decisions that they make...especially concerning magical and otherworldly issues that nearly caused the crumble of their society in the past era. A perfect song for Toffee, really. This one plays in my head whenever I imagine him alone in Ludo's his new castle contemplating whether or not to go through with his plan to kidnap Marco and destroy the wand.
