I know it's a stretch but I feel like there will be a possible plotline in the future where longan decides to get rid cookies for good by going straight to the source,thats way dragon can to thrive without me.

I might need to reread both of the updates again, but I thought it was stated quite explicitly that they were trying to break through the temporal barrier. It's just hitting me...longan can turn cookie into stones...meanwhile the Ebony dragon seems to have known longan a long time ago.Whether it was because he was defeated in the war between fruit and stone dragons,or they were close once..Coincidence?Yes but it's something that occasionally pops into my brain.

Not to mention the amount of eye imagery that the Umbral Pact has, and, imo, there's far too much for it to mean nothing in regards to Ebony Dragon.

The only other dragons with eye motifs are Longan and Lychee. And Lychee had followed Longan "from the moment [they] first opened [their] eyes"

Both the Ebony Dragon and Longan are also leaders. The Ebony Dragon was the leader of the stone dragons and Longan of the fruit dragons

And then, there's the Yin and Yang seal placed on the Ebony Dragon. Black and White, Ebony and Ivory...
