I poked my head out of the gutter for one freaking second and fate shovels McLennon in my face. So there's this podcast where the author was waxing poetry about McLennon, calling it a "beautiful possibility".
Do I find the podcast interesting and significant? Yes, since she's being serious and putting herself out there as one of the rare Beatles scholar that takes this John/Paul thing seriously. I am grateful even, because she's doing what I always wanted to do but couldn't, due to my own incompetence and lack of commitment. Her analysis is a breath of fresh air in this male-dominated Beatles research materials, where emotional intelligence and open-minded perspectives are seriously lacking.
But I don't think the confirmation of John and Paul's forbidden romance could change anything as she said. Her hyperbolic expressions and comparisons are doing a disservice to her own work, and maybe people just won't take her seriously for that matter.
