This year started a bit rough. I have been hospitalized twice. Stayed there for almost a month combined. Some days are pain free, some days I feel extreme pain. I held on to God. I kept my faith strong. I was discharged three days before my birthday. I considered it a huge blessing because I will be given another chance to heal and celebrate my birthday. I learned how to keep my heart soft. To leave heartaches behind simply because I do not control time and most of all, life. I have to learn how to forgive and just spend life the best way it is meant to be lived. There will really be things in life where we would always choose to be happy because it is the top reason why we choose to live, why we choose to exist, why we keep things going. I thank God for another year. For another year of heartfelt lessons and realizations. I have learned how to see even the smallest reasons to be happy. I have learned how to find the tiniest reasons to forgive people who may have damaged you. I have learned how love can really be diverse. How manipulative it may be. How it can still bring the best in you regardless of what the ending was.

the secret to life isn't about knowing the future or having the perfect roadmap, but rather — having faith for the future and the spirit of a pioneer. so, arm yourself with faith. this moment is part of the adventure.
