So I decided to let Astarion pursue his business idea in the Githyanki creche, inspired by Neil's comment that the Githyanki got a little beard envy when they came to Faerûn, and are now looking for fake beards to make their warriors more impressive.

I'm not familiar enough with DnD to know the beard-growing capabilities of each race, but my research has shown that while Githyanki can grow facial hair, it's not usually very impressive. Astarion could therefore be on the right track to start his business there.

He has already caught his first customer. I'm still sure he'll get rich with his business.

What a long post about fake beards. I don't know where my enthusiasm for this topic comes from, but it certainly wasn't the last time I posted something about it.
