Believe it or not, the beaches of southwest Michigan do not fly south after Labor Day. To wit:

The New Buffalo Public Beach at the mouth of the Galien River is a great place to watch for loons, grebes, ducks, gulls, and terns this time of year.

Silver Beach County Park in Saint Joseph is a great place for fall weddings and/or fall birding and swinging.
