Do you think the tree must be weeping, when by autumn, her leaves are shed and found scattered on the ground? Nay, to me it is an auspicious moment of immense celebration. It is like a parent sending off their offspring to far off lands for good. Separation is indispensable at some point of time. Those fallen leaves will have such great stories to tell as the winds will come taking them from one corner of the earth to the other. Soon they'll be crumbled and turned into dust and soon from that very dust, another tree will grow and find its new home on earth. Autumn brings us message of hope, and not despair. This falling, is only the beginning of a grand journey to elsewhere!

Another great song that I love. Her bird-calling is so compelling. And her hair in the video are goals.

And this ends this month of song of the week featuring the one and only Santigold. I may do another month featuring a single artist in the coming months; I haven't decided on who, yet.

When I grow up, I wanna be a punk just like Santigold. 

The so-called ‘video vignette’ for ‘Fall First’ has a scrappy punk charm in both look and sound. Performing in the middle of an empty car park, Santi White strums her bass and snarls her way through a fuzzy, blistering rattle of guitars and drums in a throwback to her days fronting the Philadelphia punk band Stiffed. Like seriously, she’s so painfully cool here, it hurts  (✿◠‿◠)

‘I want to continue branching out into all forms of art,’ says the singer (via Rolling Stone). ‘And I’m really excited to let my music take me to new places.’
