A warm and comforting fall cider made effortlessly in a slow cooker, perfect for cozy evenings or gatherings.
Ingredients: 1 gallon apple cider. 4 cinnamon sticks. 1 tablespoon whole cloves. 1 tablespoon whole allspice berries. 1 orange, sliced. 1/4 cup brown sugar optional. 1/2 cup rum or bourbon optional.
Instructions: Put orange slices, cinnamon sticks, cloves, allspice berries, and apple cider in a slow cooker. For extra sweetness, you can add brown sugar if you want to. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or high for 2 to 3 hours, stirring every now and then. After it's done, strain the orange slices and spices out. Serve hot, and if you want, add rum or bourbon to taste. If you want, you can add cinnamon sticks or orange slices as a garnish.
