The ceremony was droning on and on. Apparently, Elven nobles were like politicians: They talked your ear off.

And after a late-night dealing with a security breach with Lomear, it didn’t matter how many cups of coffee she drank. Amelia was exhausted.

So exhausted in fact, she was not even aware she was nodding off. One moment she was struggling to pay attention as some baron was going on about some magical artifact he was handing over to S.H.I.E.L.D... Her eyes fluttered shut, and she slipped into dreamland, her head dropping and resting against Lomear’s shoulder as she silently slept.
