Rick Prick by Tijan
Standalone in the Fallen Crest & Crew Universe by same author.
Blurb: He walked into school on his first day and owned it. I guess that's what happens when you're a prick, rich, and you're best friends with the ruling school's king. Also didn't hurt he's drop dead gorgeous. That's all fine. I mean, I have nothing to do with them. I'm a loner, invisible, and that's how I wanted it to be. I was even proud of it, until I wasn't. Until I saw a girl kneel before him. Until I couldn't look away. Until he caught me watching. His name is Blaise Devroe. My name is Aspen Monson. He only knew how to get, command, and demand attention. I knew how to do everything but that. And this is our story.
My Review: Ah Tijan, you’ve done it again. Addictive new adult drama that I could not put down. This can be read as a stand-alone but I suggest catching up on the amazing Fallen Crest series, followed by the Crew series - before (or after) you have read this as this book does mention/contain characters from those series. This book follows Aspen, Nate’s baby sister (Fallen Crest prodigy) who recently moved back to Fallen Crest to finish her senior year at Fallen Crest Academy before college. Aspen is a bit of a loner, who loves reading over socialising, and camping by herself over partying on the weekends. One fateful weekend, she accidentally catches her crush - Blaise, being his usual cocky “popular boy” self in a forest near a party. This brings Blaise to become intrigued by the “invisible girl”, only to find himself falling hard and fast. And for Aspen, it’s her dream becoming reality if it means her long time crush is giving her attention. The chemistry was there from day one for Aspen and Blaise. Not just physically, but emotionally. They bring out the best in each other, and they know they can get through whatever comes their way - as long as they have each other by their side. They become a team against their own family problems and the ending is close to perfect in a two part epilogue. Thank you again Tijan. I so would love to see a future novella of Blaise & Aspen being parents!
5/5 Stars!!!
