GOD the ties between woman and godlieness is one of my fav things in bloodborne,,,I just wished that they had the menunstration along with it bc a game all about blood and reverence of childbirth/godly miscarriages should place some Pretty Fucking High Emphasis on how holy menunstral blood is. I doubt the Old Ones understand menunstration from a human perspective (they might see it as miscarriage) so it's probably seen as the tie between the gods and humans from a godly standpoint (p1)

And like, it’s kinda mirrored in-game? Bc all the female characters seem to be tied to being kin/ascending vs men, who primarily turn to beasts. I mean, obv. Amelia is the exception, but she had healing powers that other beasts didn’t posess, and her coat shone like the moon (maybe tying her to the moon prescence?) Instead of that dirty grey that the others did. Most of the Great Ones seem to be female-inclined, too, which is Really Interesting (part 2)

Bc if blood is the physical representation of the soul/ascention in Bloodborne , and the Great Ones are mostly female/have issues with fertility, and the hunt is driven by a moon godess who ALSO controls an aspect of blood, then that means that menunstration SHOULD be practically holy water, as it’s kinda like a lowkey miscarriage. It’s a godly rite/something that the gods suffer through, on a much lesser scale. So the blood should be considered highly potent and wonderful and revered (p3)

And I mean I guess they had to take it out to keep whiny cis straight men from dropping the game/menunstral blood is non-injectible, but like, it should have been a chalice ritual or somethin at best, considering everything. I’ve heard some people shit on the idea for it demonizing menunstration, but frankly, the worship of the Great Ones in Bloodborne isn’t the main horror aspect of the game (human greed is),so it would have been great worldbuilding behind communion and I am mad they dropped it

im gonna have to start w my own premise that: i do not believe in the Holiness of the church. i don’t believe the Gods are any sort of positive influence that ought to be imitated. so i do not necessarily share your enthusiasm abt considering women n uteruses as Literally Holy.

you say blood is the soul/ascension but yr taking your own opinions on the matter as canon. in-game the blood is being experimented with as a way to unlock ascendance, yes, but it’s proved to be the opposite (since it, uh, turns the entire city into unthinking beasts). it’s lining the brain with eyes/insight/actually consuming Old Gods more directly than just blood that carries one to ascension (not just the hunter but Rom, who did not belong to a School that experimented with the blood, actually ascended)

we don’t know if the issues of the old gods is infertility. in fact, kos managed to successfully spawn, she simply lost her child by dying thus being unable to Have her child. i also dont like thinking of menstruation as “mini miscarriages" and i do not understand at all how the link w pregnancy would make menstrual blood more valuable than just… being blood (that comes forth naturally). 

it’s dumb that ppl say it’d demonize menstruation though cuz the entire fucking game is about how cis men think uteruses are scary. thats it. thats bloodborne to its barest essentials. cis man thinks pregnancy scawwy.

Both Asuramaru and Krul support mikayuu, and it’s been obvious from the beginning. Krul’s always helping Mika reunite with Yuu and lets not forget the omake where she whispers something about Yuu that makes Mika blush and faint.

Asuramaru knows what’s up because he knows Yuu’s deepest desires. The first person he turned into to control Yuu was Mika but also Yuu’s thoughts about Mika are what helped him overcome the demon’s nightmare. Basically, Asuramaru knows Mika is both Yuu’s weakness and strength.

He’s probably tired of all the pinning and wants all their intense romantic tension to ease because it’s becoming awkward to be in Yuu’s mind like this LOL

Idk if the Snowflake/Snowfox descendant discourse is still going on, but tbh two of the things that bothered me that I've not seen yet are a.) That you don't have to be royal-blooded to take a throne (canon in wof), and b.) One of them could have been a trans lesbian- if homophobia canonly doesn't exist in wof, then why should transphobia?

Reguarding this whole 'tui may have not included more LGBT+ representation bc publishers argument': that's total bs. There are kid's series that have done far more that are out. Just look at Rick Riordan's writing. He writes for kids and he's got a lot of queer characters in his books and he's doing just fine. Tui is just being a coward about it.
