{the} Driver Meeting Your Parents/ Family

So, I saw this picture of Driver today and thought; “I like that cup, it looks like one my grandmother had” and then… “I would totally take Driver home to meet my family.” And that’s how this idea was made!

• I assume Driver will meet your family at a family reunion in the summer. It’ll be nice and sunny, warm and comfortable outside.

• Driver will follow you like a lost duckling at first. While getting food. Talking to family. He’s right there, holding your hand.

• He would do his best to keep a pleasant smile on his face. He would try to come off as friendly as possible without inviting people to approach and strike up conversation.

• Driver is a nice lil’ gentleman and he would let that shine through when in the presence of your family. Helping some of your older family members will take up most of his time at the reunion. Pushing in the older women’s chairs, refilling their lemonade, etc.

• There will be a few of the kids that would recognize him as a knew face and be eager to have his attention. The little kids would love showing Driver their “hot wheels” cars and listening as He would tell them what model or brand the figure was a miniature version of.

• One of his favorite parts of the day would be watching you interact with your young nieces and nephews, holding and rocking them. He swore he heard you “baby-talk” quietly to one of the newborns as you held it.

• Somehow, with all this interaction, buy the end of the reunion Driver would have said the equivalent of three full sentences the whole time.

Hay tantas cosas de las que me gustaría escribir. Pero creo que necesito hacerlo sobre vivir encerrada en el pasado. ¿Les sucede con mucha frecuencia? Últimamente he recordado muchos momentos, personas y palabras que creía olvidados, y que ya no me afectaban. Paso más tiempo del que debería leyendo textos y conversaciones antiguas que me transportan a ciertas épocas dolorosas de mi vida. A veces pienso que es una especie de masoquismo de mi parte. Es como si quisiera romper un poco con toda la aburrida cotidianidad y hacerme sentir algo "fuerte", algo que me saque de golpe de toda la monotonia. No sé si me explico. Tal vez alguien más se sienta como yo.

Sé que no debo hacerlo, pero a veces es difícil luchar contra mi cabeza. O tal vez, solo deba rendirme ante la emoción. Volver a sentirme bien es complicado y, aun así, siento que me aferro a la tristeza o a lo que todavía me duele. No sé con qué objetivo. No sé si me da miedo olvidar. Quizás me da miedo desaparecer. No tengo idea, y tal vez nunca descubra el por qué. Solo espero recordar el camino de vuelta al presente, cuando me pierda entre los retazos del pasado.

I don't have this game yet but I watch it and it is very entertaining, I would love to be able to play one day with my sister and laugh at how we will lose together. I wonder how many of you have it and how many want it.
