I just want to fall asleep on the phone with you
I'm so smitten with this man it's not fair. I want to go on long drives just so we can share and blast our music. Hang at the beach and check out the sunset then come back and make dinner. Go to the book store and pick out a book for each other. Check out a farmers market then go on a picnic. Sharing recipes and cooking or baking together.
They've got me smiling at my phone and thinking of them when I see random things
That sweet and playful look in your eye, hiding that mischievous smile makes each day a little brighter, and draws me ever closer.
K.J Tierney
It wasn’t the idea of falling in love that drew us together. I didn’t realize I was falling in love with them. Not for a long time. We were simply part of each other's lives in the best way. Being there for the other on lonely nights, partying until the wee hours of the morning, and crashing at each other’s houses. Making sure the other got home safely after a night of drinking. Bringing over ice cream when our hearts got broken. I remember people always assuming we were dating which would bring out a reaction to both of us. Why date when you have something perfect right here.
But then, something changed. One morning after partying I stumbled into the kitchen to find them making breakfast, I remember the way they smiled at me, hair all messy squinting into the morning sun coming through the windows. Perhaps it was the way they made my favorite blueberry pancakes, or that I was always smiling around them, their habit of running their thumb across their lips when concentrating on something, or the sigh that came when they finally finished something after hours of working on it. I remember when I looked at them that morning, syrup dripping from our plates and pancakes soaked, how they were laughing as we remembered the night’s events before. The way their lips simply looked so kissable. It was downhill from there.
There needs to be a community about falling in love with your best friend
I just want someone who would love nothing more than to sit with me and ponder things like:
describing colors without using their names
creating private inner monologues of nearby strangers
inventing new names for foods
comparing our favorite artists
guessing what had been the last thing that made them smile
My favorite artist would be them. Hopefully, the last thing that had made them smile would have been seeing me attempt to come up with a name more ridiculous than schnitzel already being called schnitzel.
fuck
i’m falling harder than my eyelashes against my cheek
it’s one am and all i want is your arms around me
finally my significant other,
and yet we’re still counting down
a week left,
eight days if i’m being precise,
i’m always being precise
i sure hope it doesn’t hurt when i hit the bottom
Falling in love was easy. It grabbed me from behind, when I least expected it, and dragged me under the waves. It struck me cold and sharp, leaving me gasping for breath and aching. It happened in a mere moment, but as I look back on it, I could see it growing for so long. This overwhelming desire building exponentially, pure and sweet, for such an innocent love. For nothing more, than to have your company for the rest of time.
K.J Tierney. Don’t let people tell you what you feel is invalid because it was quick. Love comes in many forms and in many ways. Figure out what it means to you, and all will be well.
