Overly attached caregivers.

Caregivers that are obsessed with their regressor, usually because of the mental disorder they have.

They might be clingy, possessive, protective, and their mood might be based almost entirely on their regressor. They might fall into caregiver space just by talking with, being near, or thinking about them.

Their main source of happiness and stability comes from their regressor and they go to great lengths to be a good caregiver despite the struggles they face.

It's important to know you're not a bad person for loving someone too much. If boundaries are set and respected, then you're not doing anything wrong by wanting to keep them close and make them happy.

Just remember to take care of yourself. This goes for regressors too and everyone in the community.
