Amara sat across from her brother, getting him out of the house for a little while. Something had weighed on her mind, hoping to help in some way to get him out of the mess their parents caused. “Have you thought about going to school or anything? Away from here?”

After being turned into a vampire, Bailee really had sort of left her old life behind her. Apart from trying to call her parents and tell them that she was okay and convince them that she would visit soon, Bailee was trying to learn how to control her thirst, not anywhere near ready to be that close to her parents to catch up with them. As she was trying her best to hold her own in the public area, she spotted a familiar face, brows pulling together before she uttered his name. “Fallon? What...what are you doing here? I haven’t...seen you in a while.” Definitely not since she had turned, though she wasn’t sure if she should tell him that part either.

He knew the young man, only through his parents, and the secret hunting life they lived behind his back. Grant wasn’t sure why he kept that from Fallon, but he would never want to directly go against their wishes. After all, it was their son, they were raising him out of the life, something Grant sometimes wished he could get out of himself. Upon seeing the young man though, he gave the other a small wave, quickly adding, “Fallon, I haven’t seen you in a while, or your parents. How are you? Everything okay?”
