Fahrenheit’s lore came to me in a prophetic dream so I wrote it all down wooooough let’s reference it and maybe write out her past tonight

Fahrenheit gets asked to babysit Shaun exactly one time.

She then proceeds to meet the one person who she cannot beat at chess and this pisses her off because what do you mean she’s getting beat at her game by a toddler. (Everyone under drinking age is a toddler in her eyes ok she’s not a kid person)

Shaun’s just happy to be here and have someone to play with who isn’t going easy on him cuz he’s a kid/who his parent is.

Hancock and SS no longer have to ask anyone else to watch Shaun because Fahrenheit has already kidnapped him and by god this time for sure is when she wins.

MacCready: Hey Hancock, I heard the Brotherhood are looking for new recruits. You ever think about joining?

Hancock: Oh, sure kid! Absolutely! It's my life's ambition! To shack up with those ghoul haters! *backhands MacCready* what kinda question is that?!

MacCready: *rubbing head* Oh c'mon, man! I was sure it'd be a perfect fit...y'know... Seeing how they're looking for *snickers*...High Fliers *Chuckles hysterically and saunters out of the Old State House*

Hancock: *Dumfounded* Fahrenheit It'd be justified if I shanked him right? People would understand?

Fahrenheit: *trying to maintain composure* Oh absolutely boss!

The next day... Hancock getting ready to leave with Sole.

MacCready: *Casually leaning against Daisy's discounts* Jet-ting off are we Hancock?

Daisy: *gravelly laughter fills the square*

Hancock: *fingers itching for knief* Sole, I hope you're not too attached to this one...

MacCready: *Fake runs away in slow motion*

Sole: *sighs* I need to take him out more

Some of my work from back in 2020! When I first got into fallout :D

Fahrenheit is one of my favourite background? Characters in fallout 4 I think she’s so cool like genuinely, even if she only has like 6 voice lines the entire game!

I really wish we had some sort of quest or something where she was a temporary companion, like maybe John goes missing for a bit and you gotta help her find him? Or even a small side quest with the gunners?

Overall I really wish we got to know more about her and it’s rather sad we don’t :(

Wanted to compile some General hcs as well as a timeline for Hancock and McDonough touching a bit on their childhood but mostly focusing on the last ten years before the game starts.

Finally on my laptop now so it’s going under a readmore.

-Their father was a fisherman and would often take the boys out with him when he thought it was safe, and their mother was remarkably well read and did her best to ensure that her sons had a good education. The boys picked up their people skills from their dad.

-They left their old waterfront home after their parents died, they were in their late teens when it happened.

-Hancock and McDonough hopped from settlement to settlement for awhile before settling in Diamond City, their reasons for doing so ranged from: was out of town when raiders attacked, Hancock may have slept with the wrong person once and that didn’t end well it was ONE TIME OK, to just generally not liking the new settlement they were staying in.

-McDonough was usually the one calling the shots during this time, and was overbearing but that was usually just because he thought he had to be to look out for the two of them.

-McDonough charmed his way into getting a job as an upper stands bartender for a bit, and was a big hit with the residents there, he had a real knack for telling them what they wanted to hear.

-Hancock was mostly a scavenger during this time, although he’d take up odd jobs here and there too, got to know the folks down on the fields real well. He met Fahrenheit while taking a caravan job escorting a trader to Goodneighbor, and they kept in touch when they could.

-McDonough and Hancock started drifting apart during this time, as McDonough found himself siding more often with those upper stands residents and Hancock didn’t like him shit talking the lower stands. They got into a lot of arguments but most of the time they got over it by the next day.

-Hancock also started sneaking off to Goodneighbor around this time as well. McDonough had never liked Hancock’s chem habits and didn’t let him keep them in their house, nor did he like it when Hancock would bring someone home from his nights out on the town.

-When their arguments got bad enough Hancock would couch surf with his buddy’s, usually someone like Kent, Daisy, or Fahrenheit depending on who had room and where he was. Kent appreciated the company, even if Hancock was high a good portion of the time, and enjoyed having someone who listened to him, Daisy let him stay so long as he helped her out with the shop, and Fahrenheit often owed him a favor but she would’ve let him stay regardless, as by this point they were pretty close, fighting side by side tends to do that.

-McDonough started getting interested in Politics and Hancock was frequently staying longer and longer in Goodneighbor. By the time McDonough started running for Mayor, Hancock had mostly become a drifter, and mostly would just stop by to stay in touch with his brother.

-It was McDonough who initially started running for mayor, but he was replaced mid-campaign with the synth who started talking about getting rid of the ghouls.

-When Hancock left Diamond City for good he lived on the streets of Goodneighbor for roughly a year as while he had helped some of the ghouls like Kent and Daisy get settled in Goodneighbor, he didn’t want to over stay his welcome given everything that had happened, and he thought that them being around him, the guy who was related to the Mayor that kicked them out, would just bring people down.

-Hancock ramped up his chem usage and the time he spent on his wild tears during this time. He had started to mellow out a bit just a bit right before the drifter was killed, which sent him spiraling down to his lowest.

-Hancock took the chem that turned him into a ghoul before donning the clothes of the founding father. Although the difference in time between those events was only a few days.

-He has a lot of self imagine issues but for the most part he shoved them down and focused on what needed to be done for Goodneighbor to distract himself from it. Hancock had always been charismatic but that got ramped up to 11 after he became Hancock, early on he was trying to compensate but it became second nature to him in no time at all.

-Making Fahrenheit his second in command was a no-brainer to Hancock, and for her part she adapted well to being in charge.

-A little too well actually. Hancock had known that Fahrenheit was always a bit ruthless in a fight but was hoping that being given responsibilities would mellow her out, and he wanted someone he could trust to keep him in line as he never wanted to even imagine coming anywhere close to be the kind of leaders that McDonough and Vic were. She did not mellow out.

-Hancock sees the residence of Goodneighbor and sees people living their lives as best they can, Fahrenheit sees them and sees each as a problem she may have to take care of in case someone slips up.

-Fahrenheit is in charge when Hancock is away, and if there was ever trouble before, it almost immediately stops when they hear she’s in charge. That doesn’t mean people think they can get away with more with Hancock, it just means that Fahrenheit has a lot less tolerance for most things than he does, and is a lot more willing to put a bullet in someone if need be. Hancock is still willing to cap a bitch if they deserve it, but he prefers a more hands off approach to leadership.

Was considering doing a serious fic project involving Fahrenheit and Hancock sometime in the future that would have two endings but didn’t know if that was allowed?
