In Defense of Choosing a Gender

Ok so the whole “you can choose your gender/sexuality” thing.

I get both sides. But I’m with “you can choose”, and here’s why.

Take my experience for example; I know I’m not a girl, I know I’m not cis. But what am I? There are a lot of options, I could be genderfluid, a demigirl, demiboy, agender, bigender, third gender, and so on. Say I have even narrowed it down to “I don’t really have a gender that I recognize.” Well, there is even a lot in that category! Am I neutrios? Agender? Genderless? Third gender? This is what I believe @falloutfae is trying to say (to some degree). Even if you couldn’t choose to be trans, you can choose a gender. 

This even applies to sexuality! Say you know you’re not straight, and not monosexual. Are you bi? Pan? Poly? These sexualities are similar enough in meaning that they can be interchangeable in some cases. Though they aren’t always interchangeable.

You may not be able to choose to be lgbt. But you sure as hell can choose a label, and that is a fact.

first off this is a normal feel. Don't worry. I get it! second, even if ur sudenly becoming a cis girl, that's fine, doesn't invalidate what your gender has been and doesn't mean you would stay that way. <3 <3 <3

Instead of attacking a 17 year old, why not attack a person who both started a meme and hasn’t given any hints to what their age is yet?

Your nails are so cool!!! You make me wanna dig out my nail varnished and do some pride nails!!! I got a huuuuge collection. Tip from my hyper-femme days: Paint around your nails on your finger (not your nails) with clear nail varnish/top coat, let it dry, then paint your nails. Carefully peel off the clear varnish, it will make the edges neat. Much easier than trying to keep your hand steady.
