Australian journalism at its finest, thanks Murdoch.

How easy is it to spin a certain narrative if you have a total media blackout on the opposing perspective.

This is what Australian radical feminists are dealing with when trying to bring to mainstream media what is happening to womens rights. We don't even have a platform or newspaper that is remotely gender critical.

This is what happens when the media can tell people what is happening.

Text quoted from rad woman who attended the council meeting.

"I've just returned from the protest of 12 angry white men and a token young non binary woman at Randwick council meeting in regard coogee women's pool. They had a mega phone and everything! Hearing them talk out loud about "who's going to check our genitals" is really funny. There were cops there, 3 at front, more out back. There were 6 of us, observing.

The daily telegraph will write this up with as much blood as they can get. "

Kellyanne Conway Fabricated A Massacre To Justify Trump's Immigration Ban

Um, the "Bowling Green Massacre" never happened.

Kellyanne Conway, an adviser to President Donald Trump, cited a nonexistent massacre to justify his highly controversial immigration ban.

Speaking to Chris Matthews on MSNBC on Thursday night, Conway said:

“I bet it’s brand-new information to people that President Obama had a six-month ban on the Iraqi refugee program after two Iraqis came here to this country, were radicalized and were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre. Most people don’t know that because it didn’t get covered.”

It also never happened.

Conway, who last month described the Trump administration’s spin as “alternative facts,” appears to be referring to an incident in 2011 when two Iraqi refugees were arrested in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Mohanad Shareef Hammadi and Waad Ramadan Alwan believed they were sending money and weapons to al Qaeda in Iraq when in fact, they were caught in an FBI sting operation.

While Hammadi and Alwan were convicted in 2013 of terrorism and are currently imprisoned, there was no massacre in Bowling Green nor were they accused of planning or attempting one.

There was also no “ban” on the refugee program. As Business Insider reported, the Obama administration delayed processing refugees as it expanded screening measures; refugees already in the country were re-screened. Iraqi refugees continued to enter the country, just at a slower pace.

My dislike towards Selfies

Ever since their rise to power, I’ve always disliked selfies, despite being a teenage girl. They are a false view of humanity. Can anyone honestly say that they took a selfie and posted the first one that they took? The amount of filters, particularly on Snapchat, designed to enhance their looks, and phones that automatically make the skin look smoother or narrower. These are wrong and make people viewing them feel ugly (and don’t get me started on magazine photos). As well as that, all the posing and pouting just seems wrong to me and quite frankly I can’t bear to look at them anymore. I miss when we’d all take group photos together and that photographs were a way to preserve memories, but most (not all, but most) selfies are just taken to show off make up or to glare at a camera in the way that, quite frankly, makes them look grumpy, not ‘masculine’, as well as most selfies, particularly by teenagers, aren’t people genuinely being happy, they’re just ‘smiling for a camera’.
