"ahh, but we have done so many concepts, haven't we?" jihoon really has to think about a concept they haven't done. maybe cute, but he doubts he would fit in it as much as he wants to "maybe something more, bright and fun? something like rush would be fun, but another superhuman type concept would be great as well."

"definitely candy! i've liked all of their releases so far and always liked it. asap was also great, so i can't wait to see what they release next!" candy, was definitely the top girl group jihoon had been listening to lately. he liked them ever since ooh-ahh and honestly speaking, jihoon was a hardcore girl group stan. boy groups could eat dust for all her cared really.

"can i say catalyst or is that cheating?" he has to make the joke, smile tugging wide on his lips but he does plan on answering honestly "i guess i have really been enjoying cloud and their earlier releases, like thanks, home, don't wanna cry. i like their newer s stuff as well, but i really like their older songs and albums."
8. what non-korean artist do you like the most recently?
could he say corpse or did he have to keep it pg? hollywood undead was also pretty high on the list but he had to keep it.. pg he assumes, god knew what could happen if fans started using everywhere i go to make edits of him. "i've been listening to a lot of harry styles lately, he also released a new album and its exactly what i like to listen to. as it was is really, really good."
2. what song would you want to sing to or play for someone you like?
“i’m not really a singer, and i can’t really.. i can’t play the guitar.“ jihoon laughs, a bit flustered. it was the hard cold truth really, he wasn’t a vocalist or could play any instrument but the drums, so this was a tough question. “i guess taylor swift lover. i can think of a lot of taylor songs, but i think lover would be the best for that occasion.“
15. how should i ask out the person i like?
“just be straight to the point with it. just go up to them and tell them you like them, more than a friend. the quicker you tackle it, the quicker the anxiety around it will be gone, right?“ he answers, as if he has ever done anything like that. he doesn’t think he will ever experience that, but jihoon doesn’t mind “you can do it, yeah?“
20. can you give some inspiring words for someone going through a hard time?
this question always gets answered the same way. no matter how many years passed, when jihoon learned what he would have liked to have heard years ago. “you gotta be a little stubborn and it will work out, just hang in there a bit longer and it’s all gonna be fine. i think that’s what i’ve always wanted to hear when i was going through a rough patch, so i hope this helps you as well.”
9. what song have you been listening to a lot that you would recommend to fans?
“i’ve been listening to a lot of songs lately, does any song work?“ he asks, just to be sure and when he is given the greenllight he can’t help but grin “i don’t think i am allowed to say the songs ive been listening to.“ jihoon teases, because he can “but miley cyrus dropped a new album recently, attention miley live. i’ve been listening to like a prayer by her a lot.“

“i think its instagram, or lately its been afreeca tv. there has been a lot of legaue of legends games, so i gotta watch all of them, yeah? twitch as well, a lot of pro players stream on it, so its always open on my phone of the tv at home.“ he answers, scribbling answers on the sticky note he was given with the album.
11. what should someone do to win your heart?
“ahhh, that’s hard i think i’m really picky.“ jihoon almost pouts as he answers, because he doesn’t think anyone has ever.. won his heart. his loyalty and friendship, sure, however his heart seemed to be either too stubborn or off limits. it seemed like he couldn’t figure it out even if he wanted to “they have to be a great cook, good food is the key to the heart, no?“
12. what do you want for your next birthday?
“i actually want to go back to london for a bit.“ he says, doesn’t use the word home because its no longer home there. he was a bit nostalgic, and he thinks that having a few weeks in the rainy capital would be good for him “there is this pastry chain there, they make super good sausage rolls? i have like, a gold card with them but its been so long since i last used it, im worried it will be expired! “

“eyes, hands, abs or nose?“ he reads out the possible answers, can’t help but chuckle “personality.“ he adds, writing it under the rest of the answers and circling it “i think its my best trait, i balance out the group quite well.“ jihoon explains and it might be an actual lie, he wasn’t sure if he should bring that up.
14. what is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
“god there is too many!“ jihoon exclaims, reaching to run a hand through his hair “depends on the day? i really like yoghurt and berries, sometimes mint choco, vanilla is always great. i can’t pick just one.“ however, from he can tell from the fans expression he had to pick just one so he makes an exception “yoghurt and berries it is.“
setting goals was difficult for hyojung because she was never sure of what would happen. she usually liked to see how things would go about before setting a concrete goal because she knows she’ll end up disappointed if something doesn’t work out. it’s why new year resolutions were absolutely useless for her. she usually ended up swerving and thinking of something else by the next month anyway. “another full album from selene would be nice. our last one was two years ago. i’d also like to film another drama this year! maybe playing a role that’s different from my last ones?”

questions like these always felt like a trick question. of course, hyojung doesn’t think her fans would be setting her up or anything, but she also knows that her own fan could upload this on twitter innocently and then non-fans will try to pile up and accuse her of dating or whatever. she’s twelve years into her career, it’d be weird if she hadn’t dated before, right? yet, people seemed to expect this innocent image out of her to this date so who knows what the response would be. nevertheless, she looks up from the post-it to look at the fan staring at her with sparkling eyes and begins to sing all for you from the drama reply 1997.
3. what’s your favorite scent?
“i like floral scents. i know some people find them too strong, but i find them to be lovely. makes me feel like i’m in a garden,” she says with a chuckle before scribbling floral on the post-it. the fan that begins to ask her if there’s a specific perfume she uses, but the fan manager is ushering her along. the album is taken from her hands as well so she looks at her fan with a pouty face instead and mouths that she’ll tell her next time.
10. what is your most used app?
hyojung wasn’t one to spend a lot of time on her phone. even if she did, she liked to read on it. novels, poetry, the news and so on. not the entertainment section though because that was usually too much. “hmm, probably naver? i feel like i end up clicking on it even if i have nothing to look up. there’s also a dictionary app because i’m trying to brush up on my japanese again.”
11. what should someone do to win your heart?
to be frank, hyojung had absolutely no clue. she got this question a lot both as a rookie and also whenever she’s at a press conference for a drama. people really seemed to be interested in her ideal type and stuff like that. “i like honest people. i’m also not a fan of people who are superficial. i’m not sure if there’s anything specifically that would win my heart over but those two are definite no-no’s.”
12. what do you want for your next birthday?
she had stopped receiving birthday gifts from her fans starting a while ago so the question takes her off guard. “i’m fine with anything they get me. it’s the thought that counts right? because they have to take time off of their day to get it, and they had to think about what i would like. there’s so much thinking that goes into a birthday gift that i’d be thankful with anything.”
13. what do you consider to be your most charming feature/trait?
“i’ve been told i have a pretty smile,” she states. as if to prove her point, she gives the fan sitting across from her a wide smile. it makes both of them burst out laughing. “also, a lot of people tell me they like my vocal tone. whether it’s on selene’s songs or in dramas so i guess that’s a charming feature as well.”
14. what is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
“oh, this is a difficult question,” she says with a hum. looking down at the post-it note the fan has handed to her, there’s a few options that she can check. she checks off the box next to vanilla and cookies and cream. “i like simple flavors. nothing too heavy.”
15. how should i ask out the person i like?
she really thinks she’s the worst person to ask for advice when it comes to relationships. pursing her lips together, she twirls her pen around before looking up at the fan in front of her. “i really have no clue,” she tells her as her brows furrow together. “a letter? do people still write letters these days? i think it’s the most genuine way of confessing your feelings though because of the thought that gets put into it.”
16. what’s the secret behind your good looks?
the question immediately makes her laugh out loud. it’s one of those cheesy lines that fans are always throwing at her. she brings her hands up to her cheeks, feeling how they’ve warmed up a bit. “my parents? it’s all dna,” she says as she waves goodbye to the fan who’s being ushered to the next member.
17. what do you think of fans of the same gender as you?
“i’m always thankful for them. after my historical dramas have done well, i’ve gained a lot of ahjumma fans as well. they’re always telling me that they’d love to have me as a daughter or daughter-in-law, but i’m sure they only say that because of the characters i’ve played. anyway, our female fans have always been such a strength, and i’m happy to see them at fansigns or concerts or performances. they mean a lot, and i hope that selene’s music can continue to empower them.”
18. what is the most recent thing that made you happy?
“my older brother got a new puppy, and she’s adorable. it’s a shiba inu, and she loves to play around. it took a while for her to warm up to me, but i think she likes me now?” the fan then asks her if she’ll ever raise her own pet. “i would love to. my family’s always raised pets since we were young but since i’m not always home, i feel it’d be irresponsible.”
19. what is your happiness level these days on a scale from 0 to 100?
“hmm,” she begins before tapping her pen against the desk. this was a difficult question. she doesn’t want to answer too low because she knows it’d worry her fans but also, ranking it too high would be a complete lie. she’s standing somewhere in the middle anyway so she writes down a 75. “i’m really happy with where i am right now, but i always want to leave space for more happiness!”
20. can you give some inspiring words for someone going through a hard time?
perhaps it was because of her naturally sympathetic nature, but hyojung received lots of questions along these lines. “i know it’s cliche, but i want to tell everybody that it’ll pass. there were times when i was certain that i’d had the worst day in my life and how i’d never recover, but it was just another day. sometimes we have good days and sometimes we have bad days. it’s just the way life works and learning how to encourage yourself and think positively will do wonders. i hope you can continue to practice thinking in that way.”

“oh, cute, cool and sexy?” jihoon asks back, looking up from the sticky note in the album. he flips and turns the marker in between his fingers “i think cool deserves 100,” he scribbles the number onto the paper, followed by another 100 next to sexy “sexy gets the same score, i think its only fair, but cute..” the rapper hums quietly, unsure of what to actually give there “cute is a struggle, so i’d give it a 97. sounds good right?” he asks, the number already written on it.
23. what place do you want to travel to the most?
“italy and south of france.“ he answers, almost as quickly as the questions is given out. he hasn’t gotten really the chance to go there yet. he remembers that one school trip to paris, but the memory is blurry and unpleasant to say the least. “i will get to eat probably the best pizza and pasta in my life, plus, their ice-creams? i’m sold.“
24. what language would you like to learn?
none really. he spoke korean, english, enough japanese to be passable. what else was there to really learn. so he taps the pen against the table, lips pursing “mandarin?” he asks, because he isn’t sure either. it wasn’t like gold star would make them learn it but he thinks it would be a nice way to you know.. work his mind a bit “yeah, i will stick with mandarin.”
25. what is the first thing you think of when someone mentions your fans?
“warmth, i get very very warm when anyone mentions source.“ he explains, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. it sounds cheesy and he knows it does “its the truth!“ he says, a bit offended the fan across from him doesn’t believe him, brows raised high as he writes down his answers, scribbling a bunch of suns around around the word.
26. what is your favorite movie/book you’ve seen/read recently?
he was never huge on movies or books, he doesn’t remember the last time he picked a book to read really. “arcane was really good, i can’t wait to see what the next season would bring,” jihoon says a pause following “well, lets hope there is a next season of anything league of legends released, im sure it would be just as good if not even better.”
27. what are your recent wishes?
the question does catch him off guard, because who asks anyone what wishes were. to fix his sleeping schedule, to get a new stationary mixer, a new tv to play video games on. the list goes on but its so basic... “i think a very recent wish of mine, is to win a variety award? but i will have to work harder for that, won’t i?” he finally replies, can’t help but laugh at his own stupid little wish.
28. what are the requirements for your ideal type?
there were so many ideal types jihoon has had over the years, but despite that he usually sticks to that same one he first admitted to having. however, he switches it up this time “someone who i will be able to cook for and would enjoy a meal with me.” because honestly, saying someone who can make him smile was raising the bar high enough.
4. if you spent one day with a fan, where would you go and what would you do?
it's a question that hyojung's been asked multiple times before. whether it was on a radio or a variety show, people seemed to be interested in spending a day with an idol. letting out a hum, she looks down at the post-it note before glancing back up at the fan who looks at her with shimmering eyes. "i'm not sure. i've heard amusement parks are still really fun. i can't remember the last time i've got to spend some time there. so lotte world? or everland!"
5. what new concept do you want to try showing fans?
she thinks that selene has gone through a wide variety of concepts. even if they haven't done anything super cute, there's a couple of songs that still lean towards that. like her favorite, only you. while it wasn't the typical cute concept, it was filled with vibrant colors and a cheery melody. they've even gone retro with lady, another favorite of hers. then their latest comeback included being suited up and all that jazz. "what haven't we done yet?" she says with a chuckle while finishing her signature on the album.
6. which girl group do you like the most recently?
"andromeda!" she answers without hesitation. she's been pretty vocal about her support for the group since their debut, and she thinks that if she got a do-over with her debut, she'd enjoy being in a group with a concept like theirs. "i really liked liar liar and windy day. closer and secret were really good too." she finishes off before waving goodbye to the fan who's being pushed to the next member by their fan manager.
7. which boy group do you like the most recently?
now this was a tricky question. the safe answer would be a gold star group, but she's not sure if she's paid much attention to their latest releases. have they even had comebacks recently? she decides to go a different route instead to avoid misunderstandings and whatnot. "oh, it's not much of a recent thing, but i've always been a fan of day6. they count, right?"
8. what non-korean artist do you like the most recently?
hyojung wasn't interested enough in keeping up with all the music releases in korea, and it got even worse when it came to non-korean artists. who's the last non-korean artist she knows? adele? ariana grande? she didn't really enjoy all their releases either. she looks down at the post-it and writes a i don't really listen to a lot of non-korean music ㅠㅠ and then gives a pouty face to the fan in front of her.
9. what song have you been listening to a lot that you would recommend to fans?
quickly, she scribbles the faim's make believe onto the post-it. when the fan asks who they are, hyojung can't help but shrug. "i ended up stumbling upon their song, and i really liked it. i've had it on repeat," she says with a chuckle. the fan gives her a thumbs up and tells her that she'll take a listen to it when she gets home. she thinks she's probably the worst person to ask for song recommendations because she ends up listening to the same few songs over and over again.
13. what do you consider to be your most charming feature/trait?
“can my charm really be narrowed down to one trait?” mirae asks the fan with a humorously flirtatious expression. the fan shakes her head immediately and mirae laughs fondly at her. “i think it’s my honesty that’s most charming.”
14. what is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
“it’s ice cream, so any flavor is good! but i’m a big fan of chocolate fudge brownie. besides that, i like flavors that mix chocolate and fruit, like raspberry chip or strawberry chip. the sweetness and the richness go well together.”
15. how should i ask out the person i like?
“ask them directly and confidently! don’t be afraid. missing out on something because of fear will be one of your biggest regrets. plus, confidence is really cool and attractive. if they aren’t interested, that’s fine. there are a lot of other people out there, and it might feel like the end of the world if the person you want right now doesn’t feel the same, but that pain won’t last forever and you’ll find someone who reciprocates one day.”

“i have a very specialized diet not everyone can follow. it consists of anything i want to eat and a lot of eos’s love.” mirae cringe-laughs at her own fanservice. “ah, but, really, i have my parents to thank for them.”

“of course i love our eos ladies! have i not made that obvious?” some would argue she’s made a slight favoritism too obvious, but she doesn’t really believe she has any favoritism at all. “i love all of our fans, regardless of gender. if you love and respect me, i love and respect you even more.”
18. what is the most recent thing that made you happy?
“seeing all of the fan projects for my birthday. it made me tear up. really! i’m not kidding.” birthdays had been fleeting occasions when she was young with little fanfare. it’d taken her off-guard to see her birthday so widely celebrated by fans when she’d made her debut. “i was really touched by the love. i never want to take it for granted.”
19. what is your happiness level these days on a scale from 0 to 100?
mirae studies the little drawing the fan had included with the question and she scribbles it nearly full. she writes her answer of ‘99′ next to it. “i’m really so happy. i get happier every year, but i want that to keep happening, so i’m leaving room to get even happier.”
20. can you give some inspiring words for someone going through a hard time?
“remember that being here today means you’ve gotten through every hard time in the past. you’ll get through this one too. your track record is undefeated. keep fighting, and you’ll see the light at the end of the tunnel before long.”
21. what words of advice would you give to someone studying for their college exam?
mirae isn’t the one to ask. she didn’t finish high school, much less take the college exam. “i would say to make sure you take care of yourself. the college exam may be important, but your health and wellbeing is even more important. make sure you aren’t running until your bones break. take time to yourself, even if it’s just a cup of tea or painting your nails after a study session.”

“i’d be more interested in seeing how you would rank me. can you do that for me?” mirae pretends to push the photo book toward the fan teasingly before she lapses into brief consideration of the question at hand. “i’m a 90 out of 100 in each. if i hit 100 percent already, i won’t be able to grow cuter, cooler, and sexier as i get older. 100 in each has to be reserved for when i’m closer to old age.”
23. what place do you want to travel to the most?
“i want to go back to milan again!” the answer is a fast one and she writes it down as soon as it comes to mind. “i got to go when i walked for dolce & gabbana. milan is so pretty, and i want to spend more time there than i got to.”
24. what language would you like to learn?
“my english is lacking. i’ve been working hard on learning more lately so i can communicate more with our english-speaking fans. chinese, italian, or french would be great to know fluently, as well. i’m going to work hard to become multilingual.”
25. what is the first thing you think of when someone mentions your fans?
“love. that’s what eos is to me. you’ve all shown us so much love, and i have so much love for you in return. it’s as simple and easy as that.”
26. what is your favorite movie/book you’ve seen/read recently?
“i haven’t had time to watch or read a lot lately. it’s sad. i need to ask you guys for recommendations on what to add to my to-do list. alice in borderland was one of my favorite shows i watched this year, though!”
27. what are your recent wishes?
“i want to work hard on new projects. keeping up with my youtube is top of the list because i don’t want to neglect recent projects, but i want to be able to grow. i can’t give too much away, but hopefully i’ll be able to be involved in some exciting projects soon. i have a good feeling about 2022.”
28. what are the requirements for your ideal type?
“my ideal type is more of a shared feeling. i don’t like to limit myself to one type because that shuts out exciting opportunities. if i had to name an ideal type, i like someone smart and confident. that’s really attractive in a person.”
29. what job would you want if you weren’t an idol?
“i’d be some kind of instructor. probably pilates or yoga.” she might have been a full-fledged model if she wasn’t an idol, but she’ll never really know. “lately, i’ve been thinking i could have had fun doing the full-time youtube thing, though.”
30. what is a hobby you’d like to pick up?
“people who makes goods like candles and lotions are really cool. i don’t know what that’s called, but i’d like to try that. some of my friends tell me i need to find more homebody hobbies. we’ll see!”
