A list of endangered crafts. My goodness it’s long.
Today has been a day. I spent a majority of my day doing homework or out shopping, but i sat down for a few hours, bored. And i had to make someone a handmade gift.
So....i went around my house collecting supplies to make...A fan
And let me just say, Feuilly knows where its at. Fanmaking is fun.

AKA Vapaus has no life.
The white crosses are the ones labeled just “fan-makers”, the green crosses are makers of fan “leaves” (feuilles). (The weird looking green-white spot is Rue du Grand-Chantier number 4, which has both in the same address.)
As you can see, putting all these addresses on the map gives you a clear pattern. Aside from the few outliers, all of these shops are clustered around Rue Saint-Martin and Rue du Temple and their immediate surroundings. And the overwhelmingly most popular street for fan-makers seems to have been Rue Bourg-l’Abbé which has four shops.
