To any Technoblade fan creator please remember:
It ok to take a break or even abandon/throw out a peace if you feel you should
If you feel you have to rework the entire peace you can
And now move than ever be aware of the boundaries he had set up
If you feel you shouldn't do any more fan content of him that us your choice just respect others
Don't represent cancer for the 'funs' or the 'feels' in anything that is related to him
(That includes his friends at least for a while)
Just remember to be respectful and nice
Also take care of yourself

MacGyver fam, does anyone know what happened to #TeamImprov? The Tumblr says deactivated. But lots of the stories that we were talking about on messages they said were in progress & those are now on hiatus. I just wanna make sure everything's okay with them.
So, I received a negative comment on AO3 and I gotta ask, was I too soft in my reply? I’ve recieved negative feedback before (too little research to make things believable, no character development, unrealistic male behaviour or situations (hello the entire m/m fanfic world), grammar errors, etc etc) and have been able to see it as concrit, or someone getting too hung up on what I as the creator find to be minor details. Sometimes it’s actually helped me! So I like to believe I’m tough enough to handle negative comments.
However, the last line in this comment is “It also does not look like you will be continuing this, so I actually, frustratingly, feel like I wasted my time with this.” and I’m just like… wtf. Wtf. Wtf are you on about? How the fuck do you know where I’m at in my creative process? How did you come to conclude I’m not continuing the story in other works? Where the fuck do you want me to be in that process? Do you want more content or not? From me or others? Why would anyone create fanwork if the comment they get is “I feel like I wasted my time”?? Look, mate, sorry you feel that way, but I’m happy with my story and that ending is badass if you ask me, more stories should end with a whammy like that, even when it’s fucking annoying! It was that ending or a story that lumbered on for hundreds of more words that would’ve bored everyone.
Other readers have commented on the abrupt ending too, but they’ve done it nicely even when they’ve been annoyed, and they’ve inspired me to write that sequel some seem to want (it’s being edited, hopefully it’ll be whipped into shape for posting in December. See, that’s where I’m at in my creative process, just ask me next time!).
I’m definitely not a writer who decides what to write or not write depending on comments (the nonsense I’ve written with next to no readers!) but I get mad when I think about the writers who have doubts or nerves about sharing a story and then gets this for the time and love they put into it. Wtf anon commenter, wtf.
It’s also hugely annoying that I spent a lot more time composing my reply to make it seem like I hadn’t spent any time on it, than this commenter deserves. Time I could’ve spent creating fanwork.

So, fellow fanartists and Shippers:
Can we please STOP prefacing our statements with:
“I don’t ship this, BUT...”
Please don’t make people feel like shit for creating what they want. I’m pretty sure we can find a way to be better to each other on this point.
That is all.
