'x reader' is a narrative device. All Readers are characters. I personally don't think Readers should have set appearances or ethnicities unless the story absolutely calls for it (like for example a Reader character in a JJK story has a high likelihood of being Japanese because of the setting), but it's inevitable they'll have some degree of personality. Back story also makes it more interesting too. It helps give you a more vivid world to be invested in. Every time the Reader does or says something, it's indicative of personality (why they did this instead of that). At the very least it shows authorial influence.

You're not moulding dolls from clay, you're reading a story with a predetermined direction. If you don't like one particular Reader character, there are so many other stories out there.

Thought I could bring this over here as I know a lot of anti censorship people here may not have blue sky.

But there seems to be a big issue where people who create ns** content and sell it. This includes SW and people who even create art are being censored by the actual payment processes (visa, banks etc). This means any site they use to sell their stuff is also tightening up policies and making it harder for these people to make a living.

And so to the action item:

Grief can be pretty selfish sometimes, and I think that’s okay. There can be this oppressive feeling of why isn’t everyone around me as outwardly sad as I feel? Why are the people in my life able to go about their day when it feels like I can’t anymore? I always check in on people and take care of them, why does it feel like no one is doing the same for me? Grief is messy and hard and painful, and it happens while the world keeps turning.
