me when the yuri is doomed, the yaoi is toxic and the grey has morals:
In less than 24h, two of my friends have posted that they were considering leaving here due to the amount of nasty asks and comments they've been receiving. I'm absolutely appalled.
I am utterly allergic to harassment and bullying. I can't condone such behaviour. Ever. There is no valid reason for treating in an inhumane way a fellow human. None.
What is this? An inspiration drawn from other fandoms filled with queer people who can't be united?
Here's a reality check: the 🌈 community gathers people who are oppressed by the society and its model. We don't fit into this model.
And inside this community, oppression somehow still exists! This is where logic falls out of the window. I am exhausted by the cruelty and the nonsense.
I am also furious and it takes an awful lot to anger me. We all have the right to be here, on Earth. We are here for a reason and it's not so that someone else can take it out on us and, worse, make us feel like we should remove ourselves from this planet. Because there is space for everyone, regardless what some can think.
Another reality check: Behind the screen are people with a life outside this community. They can go through hell and don't have to put up online with someone else who can't handle their personal issues. They are human beings, not pawns to be moved according to someone else's mood and motivation. The level of entitlement is real and sickening.
I already had to deal with a community where the toxicity was off the charts, it's not to witness this here and stay silent.
This is also my turn to write this: I'm honestly considering of leaving here. The smaller communities are, the nastier they are. I don't have to deal with this pettiness and this malice. I already have enough on my plate.
And, of course, it has to happen right after the most beautiful event there is in the community: Choices spread kindness. Well done.

Yeah I definitely don’t think that the fans even should be priority number one on their list. But Iike you said they have themselves made it seem like that, with the para social relationship of it all. Eat the cake and have it too you know?
Hi anon!
I mean, fans do have some accountability themselves. Applying logic (like I did) to the fan-artist relationship will make you realize that there are boundaries to their love for army. I have never felt like I as a fan matter more to an artist than their real families and friends. Fans who buy into that too much (and I feel it is really hard to make the distinction for younger fans) do need to become aware of what reality is. Showbizz in general is set up to draw fans in. Most people realize that. I think BTS themselves also hinted at their being boundaries to what they can share and what not. I feel Pied Piper was also a really strong message in this regard. Fans themselves blow past those messages, but members have pointed those boundaries out to us.
just wanted to say i loved your reply to the anon asking about perceived tension between jimin/tae in hobi's farewell video - the most competent and well rounded reply ive seen yet completely reflecting my own thoughts on it - so thank you for such a great and ot7-supportive reply!
Hi anon!
Thank you for your message. I most definitely love all members of BTS. I love their friendship, love their music, love their performances, love their chaos… basically everything. I think everyone talking about tensions and drama between members is just trying to get their own 5 seconds of fame. The members themselves probably hate all those negative comments.
Thankfully most people are able to see how things really are (like you and I), but unfortunately there will always be those very vocal individuals who make fandom about themselves instead of just supporting their favorites.
I'm wondering at what point Shanna will take down her wedding website or if it's here to stay forever? The point is the poor girl must have realised the utter chaos of having a famous brother and therefore, I can't understand the naivety because now her husband has been put under the microscope. But this nonsense needs to go away and fast.
Tbh, she's dealth with the fandom before. She was forced to delete her IG after people stalked her and were gross to her on IG comments back in 2019.
That doesn't mean she shouldn't be allowed to do whatever she wants and act like a normal person, since she isn't the famous one. She probably didn't expect his fandom to look for hers and her husband's names on Google, because the fandom had no business in searching their names on the Internet at all in the first place.
And yes, some people in the fandom need to chill and take it easy. If they want to play detective games, there are amazing video games for that (L.A. Noire is amazing!) or maybe traditional people would rather a classic Cluedo?
I think we've put ourselves (the fandom) on a bad light, especially since late 2021. I think it's been enough.
I’m really sad to see how many "fans" now began to criticize literally any action or inaction of Chris. I don't understand why there is a hidden meaning in everything, but everything is presented as if he is trying to improve the situation in his favor. And I'm almost sure that all this mess because of the Portuguese, DM gossip and other vile Instagram accounts do not have such a global impact on his life. Yes, it's probably annoying. But it is strange to assume that the repost of the video is some kind of super thoughtful attempt to divert attention from something. This is just a cute video. It's all.
The problem with the fandom is not Chris and his actions, but the fact that the fans themselves think and jump to conclusions based on nothing. And then they act like Chris is the biggest buster in the world.
And no, I'm not trying to babying him, but the overanalysis from the fans is a little tiresome.
.
Does it bother anyone else when people on twitter moan about stuff they’ve seen on tumblr on twitter? If you don’t like what you’ve read, surely the last thing you’d do is discuss it on ANOTHER social media site?? 🤔🤔
Well, that's the exact same reason I got my blog suspended 😂🤷♀️
But I agree. If you don't like it, then why are you even following x blogs? And if you aren't even following them, why are you actively checking their blog?
