as an aro i have to say personally i can’t write romantic relationships to save my life. you know those big romantic moments loads of people swoon about, like the whole “why do you even love me :(((” thing and then the other person starts listing off every little thing that they love about them? absolutely cannot write something like that without feeling a) deeply uncomfortable because b) everything i say sounds so fake and purposefully cliche and awkward and like i’m making shit up on the spot which tbh i quite literally am since c) half the time i can’t think of any reasons why you’d like someone romantically. if i tried to tell someone why i liked them romantically my biggest and probably only reason would be “i find you cute like i’d find a puppy cute” which last i heard is not what the entirety of being in love entails lskdjksns
