Bro why do some allos act like it's a crime to imply their fave character can be read as ace? Like they're just missing the 'eww' in their responses. It's such gutteral reactions sometimes, and so unnecessarily mean. And the 'that character fucks, sweetie'. Yeah so??? They can't be ace cause they have sex? Why do you have such a disgusted reaction to asexuality if you don't even know what it IS lmao

I’ve really been meaning to write an article about this type of behavior and about reactions about aces in their spaces. I personally haven’t gotten ew either, but I have been discussing headcanons and meta and gotten a “no.” And I’m just like ??? we are given opinions wtf

Remember:

You can dislike something without it being morally wrong. Something doesn't have to be homophobic/transphobic/ableist for you to dislike it.

You can also like something without it being morally pure. Something can have elements that are offensive but still mean a lot to you. As long as you aren't directly supporting someone who is doing real world harm or denying that those elements are present, it's fine to enjoy things.

Hi, I'm happy I managed to give you a little bit of joy or relief during this difficult time. I personally haven't completely seen what's going but I know it's bad, and I definitely know that it's always rude to flat-out send hate towards people who want to express themselves and have some fun.

Your message yesterday or the day before about what that ass of a person did to you, almost had me bawling, no one should have to go through that just because of who they are.

Racism within the fandom, hasn't personally I don't think made it across my dash but I'm so sorry that it made it across yours. No one should have their means of escapism (It's what I use dragon age for) belittled or torn down ever. People should respect you for who you are, and who you've decided to create and how they represent you.

I also know that there are very problematic areas within fandom white washing, and I've done that to my one Fenris drawing by mistake by using a Bioware reference... (I'll look up proper references next time. :)

This hate towards you and your friends is disgusting, and I believe though It is a strong emotion that the racist people should just be removed. That tumblr should add a feature that haves people removed because of any racist or anon hate or what ever. It's vulgar and no person should be treated that way.

I might not personally feel it, but racism is something that should not stand. And should be torn down and called out to be removed and fixed. Especially now that they are attacking your places of comfort.

And I will do everything I can to help you, I simply cannot watch people get hated for just being who they are, (I have had enough of that in my life as a bisexual, I can't cease to imagine how hard it must be to have it towards your skin, another part of who you are, and another that can't be changed and is constantly seen.)

I was reading some 'character study' Jughead Jones fics and found one where he was demi in it!! Then I read the tags and the author was saying "he's not ace in this bc he's demi and likes sex sometimes" and that kinda hurt me. Demi are still ace! We all have different preferences but we are the same.

I know that comic run! If it’s the one I know it’s when they are adults and one girl needs to get married for some legal reason and shes like nevermind I can’t if you don’t love me. And that’s when demiromantism is mentioned. Sex is never brought up. So double fuck that person’s noise. I find the arc really respectful and well done. There could be criticism of having those actions be of an older older character verus the younger versions but it doesn’t make him less a-spec.

I saw some people saying that the good omens dudes are "bad gay rep" and an enby said the same thing, but I thought that they were ace? I'm rly confused bc I've seen ace ppl say they're good ace rep, is that why they're considered bad gay rep? Sorry if this comes across as rude, I'm genuinely confused bc I know nothing about this fandom lol

okay so the writer said they are angels and demons and wouldn’t use human labeling because they aren’t human and can be in different looking bodies. That’s why he refuses to say they are gay cis men because their attractions can towards each other but their gender isn’t a fixed point. So people like to QQ because BUT GAY REP. But there’s plenty of enby and aces who are like YEAH that weird nebulous of I like this person, not a gender, and I don’t have a gender to based it off of anyways so I think Good Omens is great and relatable in the sense. Something isn’t “bad rep” simple because someone didn’t get the label they wanted.
