#fandom is great

I love those stories that are just so great and nuanced and in 50 years someone will ferret out one more detail that is just *chef kiss*.

I will keep coming back to them. (For me: Pride and Prejudice, TGCF)

I love basic stories - simple and low budget and a dime a dozen - that are just warm hugs.

I will keep coming back to them as a group even if my returns to any one particular example are normally brief. (For me: Thai BL)

I love stories where canon is nothing but a springboard for me. Maybe S1 was good, maybe it's just the concept and characters I liked but I was uninterested in the plot, maybe the characters I love are fanon and widely OOC to their canon counterparts. I almost never complete the whole canon; some people may have no first hand experience of canon, having just jumped right in to the fanon.

I will keep coming back to them (the fandoms anyway). (For me: Merlin, Sherlock, Hannibal, Supernatural, Teen Wolf)

I love fandom and the way it brings me back to these stories, it enhances them through meta posts, extends them through fic, replaces them through the hive mind.

Thank you everyone who participates in the wonderful mad world of fandom, especially the creators who bring so much richness and joy to it.

One of my favorite Tobirama fanfic tropes is cat!tobi

And I love seeing reactions to people realizing this and just going

"That. That sir is a cat. Do you see that cat? That is a very cat like cat."

Is he in the Uchiha compound for whatever reason and suddenly everyone finds it very hard to hate him because he is literally exactly like their cat summons and suddenly everything makes so much sense??

Is he with the Senju and as he grows up everyone except debatably Hashirama is at least tangentially aware that That Sir Is A Cat as he does very cat-like things growing up?????

Do his students meet him and within the first thirty seconds realize that Our Sensei Is A Cat In Human Skin, and proceed to lord over the rest of the population that they're the only ones who can get him to do things (or at least concider doing things) and won't tell anyone how????????

Who knows lmao, I just wish I could find more because it's just such a funny things to me

Something I love about the TMNT 2012 fandom is that we all kind of unanimously accepted multiple headcanons. Examples:

Leo is the worst in the kitchen and has a ongoing feud with the toaster.

Donnie is addicted to coffee.

Leo loves to drink tea.

And Raph has a soft spot for animals

Like seriously some of these are so engraved into the fandom they might as well be canon.

People don’t die when they plan to, mostly. Everyone knows they’re going to, of course. In theory. But certainly it will come for them… later. Someday in the hazy future, once they’ve grown old and ready to face it. And there are people who die that way.

But there are people for whom death comes sudden and violent, bursting out of the future to destroy the unsuspecting present. If you’re lucky, you have a moment to think well this is it, and make your peace. Or maybe you don’t even get that. You die surprised: a cruel and final interruption, cutting you off halfway through a breath.

It happens to Derek on a Tuesday. He wakes up not knowing what day it is.

This is the fic I’ve been working on for some time, and talking about for almost as long!! I’m really pleased with how it came out, and so excited to be able to share it with you all. I hope you like it! Obviously not everyone is into reading MCD, but I promise I gave it the happiest ending I could considering the premise. 

As this is the last Sterek fic I plan to write, I also wanted to take a moment to thank the fandom and specifically everyone who ever commented on or reblogged or interacted in any way with my writing. I improved so much as a writer and just had a ton of fun with y’all. I’ll always consider myself part of the Sterek fandom, even though it’s time to move on to original projects <3
