I'm so sick and tired the minute a male character shows even the tiniest bit of effeminate behaviour or has something girly, the fandom either goes "They're gay" or "TRANS FEMME!/EGG TRANS GIRL!!!"

As someone who sees Jax as a cis guy who's just very insecure about his perceived masculinity - he very clearly hates being made to wear a maid outfit, he constantly bullies the more traditionally girly girls, and he mentions how his rabbit body is "peak masculinity" - I never understood this headcanon for him to be honest. Like, if you want to theorize that he's trans, wouldn't it make more sense for him to be transmasc? And idk it rubs me the wrong way that people seem to want the character who is shown to harass most of the female characters on screen every chance he gets to be a female character too, like that excuses his behavior. Haven't seen the movie yet so maybe everything I'm saying is completely off the mark compared to canon, but that's been my take of it throughout the show till now. If Jax IS made transfemme in the finale I don't think I'll be able to see it as anything but Gooseworx giving in to fandom pressure just to get them to lay off.

My actual real issue with transfem Jax theory is more about how ravenous everyone is if you dare to imply you don't see it. I'm sure the theory gets tons a transphobic hate, but if you present something as a theory people have the right to argue their points against, that's how theory works.
I swear I don't hate it, lots of cool art. But every evidence is very flimsy and most of the time better fits with Jax's more established issues with social vulnerability from my perspective, which is not necessarily trans specific. Gooze has said to see a bit of herself in Jax, but said the same about Ragatha, so I don't think it's a very definitive point.
"So it will take Gooze to directly say it?!" I mean, yeah. Until it's directly established it'll be up to interpretation, like most things in fictional media, and that's fine. Personally, I think it opens the door for a lot of people to see themselves on Jax's struggles.
