Lol at the comments. Save us all. Bigotry is hating people for arbitrary reasons they can't control, and shitting on het people purely because they're het, or like het pairings, which frankly, happens without almost EVER commentating on systemic issues that het people benefit from, and instead it happens by shitting on the individual themselves and their "slop" tastes, which yes, is typically the same "slop" we like but with het pairings instead of slash etc, is the definition of bigotry. It's not violent gay bashing, but it's still fucking bigotry, you buffoons.

The replies are not surprising but seriously, seriously, do you all honestly believe there is no such thing as being anti-straight? Do you believe there's no such thing as being racist towards white people too? Or does "bigot" only refer to a certain group of people now? Because I notice most everyone agrees with other posts complaining about fandom hating on het ships on principle and harassing those who ship them, but as soon as someone calls it what it is - and yes it is bigotry, just because it's localized to online spaces doesn't mean it's not rooted in bigotry - suddenly op is either a troll or overexaggerating?

"Hetrophobia is not real" Have you ever seen how queer folk treat straight women that fall out of their vision of the "cis-het" stereotype for not being queer? Let me tell you, its not fun to be called all kinds of slurs and the like because queer people hate you for being straight and having interest they claimed as "queer only". Its is especially a thing that bothers me about gay men and non bainer people. Not all of them are like that, but enough that I am not that excited anymore to befriend people of those groups. Or gods, getting told its a horrible lost to the queer community that I date a man and I should really just become a lesbian..... Just because I like a famous female popstart doesn't mean I am invading your space. Just because I read m/m besides reading w/w and w/m doesn't mean I am sexualising you. Just because I sometimes wear mens clothes, it doesn't mean I am trying to fool trans people. Just because I am tall doesn't mean I fooled you in believing I was trans and am therefore a monster. Just because you believe that I should be queer in some way or a other because of stupid reasons doesn't mean I am a monster for being straight. And yes this is targeted to the people that get offended to me pointing out that this is also a form of phobia. To the LHBTQIA+ people here that are chill. Love you.💕

""LHBTQUIA+" Troll post, let's pack it up." ...Huh? How?
Reply 3A.2 - Anon
They clearly meant to say LGBTQIA+ but typo'd an "H" instead of a "G" because it's right next to it on the keypad... Also, they never put a "U" in the acronym. Wild to accuse someone of being a troll because of an obvious typo, while you're making a typo yourself.

"Awwww boo people made fun of you on the Internetnet" No, in real life actually. What was really pissing me off because I just told the church in our village to go fuck themselves because queer people exist and can live in our village if they want to. (Yeah, the church and its people were harssing the queer people into moving away, I am not going to keep my moth shut when that happens.) Also, the agroming for queer people is different in other languages, so your "troll post" argument is ass.

I see alot of people of people accusing the anon that used "LHBTQIA+" of being a troll. However, as I also pointed out in the comments, as a Dutch person I imiditly recognized it. Because thats how we write it in Dutch. Its probably writen by a person that confused the two because how similar the Dutch and Engels versions are. I just wanted to come here to point that out and show some prove using a Dutch source. First image is the original text, secis translated using google lens. I hope that this cleared stuff up for everyone.
(First image reads, "Lhbtqia+ staat voor lesbisch, homoseksueel, bisekseuul, transgender, intersekse, queer en aseksueel. De + staat voor alle andere vormen die niet heteroseksueel en cisgender zijn."
from https://www.nji.nl article "Wat beteknent lhbtqia+? | Nederlands Jeugdinstituut"
Second image reads, "LGBTQIA+ stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer, and asexual. The + stands for all other forms that are not heterosexual and cisgender."
from https://www.nji.nl article "What does LGBTQIA+ mean? | Netherlands Youth Institute")

"But this group is my oppressors" is a superbly roundabout way of admitting "yes, I'm bigoted and I'll gladly be mean to the het person in my vicinity, even though there's a marked chance they've never contributed to my oppression in my life, just because other het people have created a society where that person happens to benefit and I get marginalized".

I wonder how many of these "actually, straight people being oppressed is a real problem, and I'm saying that as a queer person myself!" "Actually, the POC are too rude to white people, and I'm saying that as a POC myself!" "Actually, women aren't nice enough to men, and I'm saying that as a woman myself!" posts is just the same handful of chuds replying to themselves over and over again pretending to be different people.

Someone being targeted or teased by people who are prejudiced doesn't mean they're being oppressed by them, get off it. And it's still a problem even if it's not oppression. God forbid we look the other way every time a LGBT person treats someone like crap, we can excuse a lot of things that way that shouldn't be excused. Your status as a minority, my status as a minority, does not give either of us free license to retaliate to random people just because it's cathartic!

Het people crying opressed/bullied/discriminated against is something you will only ever see in the great Tumblr. Not saying it doesn't happen, but come on folks. Tumblr is not real life, go out there and touch some real rocks. Grass isn't cutting it anymore.

The replies to this are really concerning and I've died a bit inside. This is what people on this site consider a passable way to treat other people? I thought bad-mouthing people based on their orientation regardless of how marginalized they are is like the barest minimum you can do as a human being. It scares me that people are so ready to chuck their moral out their door because some groups just happened to fall into a demographic that benefits from having more representation or something. I'm ace. I'm about as marginalized as orientations get. I would never badmouth anyone for having more representation than me, nor put them down and call their own allo, gay, other material "slop". It stuns me that other people can justify doing this.

The amount of people who are reading "maybe we shouldn't bully people for their basic traits" and hearing "you're oppressing them!!!" is laughable and completely unserious and I don't trust any of you. Sincerely, that's a horrific way to avoid examining your own blind spots.

So yall are cool with racism and misogyny but draw the line at “anti straight bigots” 😒 😒 😒 😒 😒 😒
Reply 9A - Anon
Does anyone know what anon 9 is trying to say? I can't make heads or tails of it and as such I can't even tell if they're one of the "it's fun to bully het people as soon as they're in a space where they're the minority" people, or the people who know that's bullshit. ^^,,,
