Synopsis; What happens when Hiddenville’s most chaotic superhero family accidentally rents a vacation home in New Orleans that's already occupied by a family of ghosts? Absolute, unpredictable madness.

In the first half of this epic Nickelodeon crossover, the Thundermans and the Hathaways find themselves sharing the same roof in New Orleans. As superhero secrets clash with supernatural scares, a hilarious turf war erupts. Part 1 perfectly sets the stage, delivering incredible character dynamics, laugh-out-loud pranks, and a looming threat that might just force these two completely different families to do the unthinkable: work together.

2018 fandom recap

Since I did one last year, let’s go!

Posted 10 works on Ao3 which is 8 less than the previous year, but a very respectable number anyway considering the year I’ve had

Total posted word count was 65,014. With unposted drafts it gets up to ~100k.

Measured in both kudos and hits, my most popular fic was (overwhelmingly) M is for Murder

M is for Murder Barnes with his 27 nice new knives and Buzzfeed interview requests also blasted right up to 4.4K kudos in nine months which is fucking rad and I’m proud of it.

Got two of my fics podficced (one even twice!), which is always the greatest honor!

Managed to scrape my way through Cap Reverse Bang as an artist, and Shrunkyclunks Bang, MCU Kink Bingo and Cap Big Bang as a writer, which, in hindsight, is a fucking miracle considering the year I’ve had

Wrote my longest work so far (whopping 34k lmao) for CapBB, Sleeping With Ghosts, for which @esaael​ and @cobaltmoony​ made some stunning art. It also features my favorite toothy show stealer, a.ka Steve’s shield.

My all-time most popular fic Side bitch out of your league is up to 5.9K kudos. I’m extremely fine with that, it’s a damn funny fic.

My Ao3 subscriber count nearly tripled! wheee

I made some art! Not as much as I had hoped for, but at least a little.

Got a fandom twitter! I’m also on Pillowfort and Dreamwidth.

2018 was a very tough year for me because my monthly workload has been more suitable for 2 or 2,5 persons than one, especially after I got a promotion. I’ve also been juggling my polytechnic studies on the side with fairly good grades - I’m really relieved and proud of myself that I managed all that, and still found time to write that much and even make some art.

I couldn’t have done it without all the fandom support - I met loads of incredible, lovely people this year, both in person and online. Thanks for this year to everybody who was there for me, in one way or another, whether is was by reading my works, supporting me in creative endeavors or my personal life, sending me cat photos or helping me grow as a writer and a person.

In 2019 I’ll strive to-- well. Work less, look after myself better, and make more friends and more words. Happy New Year, guys! It’s got potential, let’s make it a wonderful one. Be brave, be kind, and above all, stay bitchy.

Tagged by @misspaperjoker, ty babe! This is solely for fics because I just couldn’t cram in any art or edits. I’m happy with everything I wrote last year, but I do have some favorites, so here’s a couple of them.

1. From What Seemed Like A Ruin with @albymangroves

I want to put this as number one, because getting it out was tough - I spent four months writing it and it was so hard. Alby had to hold my hand and butter my ego up a lot through it. But I’m incredibly pleased and proud with the finished fic, Alby’s art is just sublime, and the collaboration with her was such an incredible experience from start to end.

2. How we rolled up the carpet so we could dance with @sulasaferoom

I wrote this as my first RBB fic last spring. I’d been suffering from a writer’s block for months, but one day after claiming Sula’s art I’d already written 1.5k or so. Basically it kicked my writer’s block’s ass and helped me finish a bunch of other stuff, like two bitch fics. I loved writing this fic, and I’m really happy with it and the mood I managed to convey.

3. Moosebumps

Bitch fics are always so much fun to write, and I especially enjoyed writing Bucky’s mom. I’m a little sad I haven’t gotten around to work on another installment to this series, but someday, lol.

This is kind of a dark horse on this list, because it’s my second to least popular fic from 2017. But I love it a lot, and the scene in the bathroom is one of my favorites out of everything I wrote last year. The song it’s named after never really was in my top kent songs list until their farewell tour in fall 2016 where I heard it live in all its glory, and it hasn’t left me alone since that. The ficlet grew out of it.

2017 fandom recap

Fandom-wise this year has been incredible for me, so here’s a “small” recap, mostly for myself:

18 (holy shit) new fics posted on ao3 this year. Three of them passed the astonishing, magical 1K kudos bar, and two are hovering over 900 as well.

measured in kudos, my most popular 2017 fic was Bitch better have my wedding ring, followed by Moosebumps. Moosebumps def got the most attention, though.

got my fic Until You Wear a Groove in the World printed in a book (!!!!!!), the Not Without You Anthology, and I’m so humbled and happy by all the love the book got. I also participated the NWY panel and table in Washington D.C. AwesomeCon in June, and met some amazing people thanks to it.

one of my fics was podficced (!!!), which was one of the highlights of my fandom year.

Side bitch out of your league passed 3K kudos, about which I’m still kind of screaming.

participated in three bangs - Cap Reverse Bang for which I wrote two fics, Stucky Big Bang for which I did five pieces of art in total, and Marvel bang in collaboration with the loveliest @artgroves, plus I offered works for auction in Fandom Loves Puerto Rico charity auction. I’m also currently doing MCU kink bingo and Shrunkyclunks bang.

made a bunch of art, some of it I’m even pleased with.

met with several AMAZING fandom people IRL in London, Helsinki, and U.S. - @thelittleblackfox, @misspaperjoker, @starandshield, @silentwalrus1, @dorkbait, @jukebox-head, @kurozawa46 come to mind first and foremost because my memory is bad, plus some who don’t have tumblr / whose tumblr handles I don’t know. I had a blast meeting you all, and can’t wait to see you again in 2018!

met an astonishing number of talented, lovely people online, esp in RBB slack channel - you know who you are, lots of hugs to all of you!

I’m pretty sure I’ve forgotten something, but let’s go with these.

So now that the year is coming to an end, I want to thank everybody who read my fics, liked my posts, reblogged my stuff, left me kudos and amazing comments, enabled me, supported me, listened to me yowl about life and make shitty jokes, and generally interacted with me this year. You’re all awesome.

In 2018 I strive to become a better writer, meet friends old and new, develop as an artist, and participate in Reverse Bang and Cap Big Bang (so far / at least).
