❛ i know i’m right , i just don’t plan on stopping until everyone else knows it too . ❜
hi my beloved could you please tell me more about landry culpepper and her variants??
aaah bb!! ofc!! she is still a work in progress but here goes:
✎ LANDRY CULPEPPER 1.0
In this verse she is a childhood friend of Peter’s who moves back into town with her elderly uncle after the death of her CIA operative mother.
She’s quick to rekindle her old friendship with him and catch on to his feelings for Mary Jane.
Has a crush on Harry Osborn that frustrates her to no end because he is not only the type of guy she claims to hate but also has feelings for Mary Jane, who she grows to like.
After being rescued by Spider-Man from nearly being flattened by a semi truck, she develops a fixation on him. Thus, going out of her way to unmask him.
Figuring out Peter is the one behind the mask surprisingly comes quickly and with ease, as she catches Peter switching into his Spidey suit in an alley by chance. That begins her storyline as his first ally.
She keeps his secret and remains loyal to Peter from there on out. However, it puts a wedge in her budding relationship with Harry that grows worse and worse as the films progress.
She eventually attends Columbia University as a computer science major in this verse.
Landry is presented as more of a quirky tomboy here.
Series trope: Girl Friday.
✎ LANDRY CULPEPPER 2.0
In this verse, she is Peter’s classmate and longtime neighbor. Much like him, she is often bullied.
She isn’t really connected to Peter much here until his entire storyline becoming Spider-Man begins.
While visiting her mother at Oscorp, she secretly witnesses Peter being bitten by a genetically modified spider. Due to this, it doesn’t take long for her to put together that Peter Parker and Spider-Man are the same person.
An aspiring photographer, it’s not until she and Peter become rivals at the Daily Bugle that she confronts him about his double life. However, she agrees to keep it a secret so long as he allows her to turn in shots of Spider-Man as well from time to time.
This causes an unexpected friendship to form between the two.
When Harry Osborn begins his hunt for Spider-Man in search of a cure for his genetic illness, he kidnaps and nearly tortures her as the Green Goblin in attempts to use her as a means of gathering the masked vigilante’s blood.
She lives with her failed musician uncle Who has a crush on aunt May.
Landry is presented as more of a soft cyber goth in this verse.
Series Trope: The Secret Keeper
✎ LANDRY CULPEPPER 3.0
In this verse, Landry is Peter’s outcast classmate at midtown who moved to town a year and a half prior to the first film.
She lives with her young uncle, Vic in a quaint Brooklyn apartment.
Her mother, Kieran Culpepper, is an infamous Shield spy agent. Hence, she’s never really been around much leaving Landry to practically raise herself.
Her connection to Spider-Man begins when she digs into her mothers virtual files ( in attempt to learn more about her and where she might be ) and comes across one with the identity of Spider-Man.
From there she aims to prove that Peter Parker and Spider-Man are in fact the same person, gathering all sorts of information and theories.
With her eagle eye and novice detective work, it doesn’t take long for her to confront him with what she knows.
While she initially plans to expose him, she agrees to keep his secret upon his woeful pleas.
She’s the first person to figure out his double life.
Once Ned discovers the truth as well, they kind of tag team the sidekick role. Much like MJ, she doesn’t have any friends before her bond with Peter forms. She notes her intimidating nature as the cause of it all.
Speaking of MJ, Landry has a slight crush on her because who wouldn’t.
Meanwhile her uncle Vic has the hots for aunt May.
Landry is presented as more of an intimidating pink rocker in this verse.
Series trope: The Sarcastic Devotee
for the ask game: landry + the washington monument in homecoming?
I think that much like MJ, Landry would not be a fan of celebrating the Washington Monument and would opt out of joining the rest of her classmates inside. The two would be exchanging random geeky facts they know until their attention diverts to the chaos. During the havoc, Spider-Man runs into her and refers her to by her name during his apology. He awkwardly tries to brush this off but Landry already knows his true identity. Hence, the ordeal simply acts as the confirmation she needed to prove Peter Parker is in fact Spider-Man.
Send me one of my OC’s + a canon scene from the show and I’ll tell you what they do in it/how they fit in !
(for whichever OC you'd want to answer this for) How does your OC handle conflict with someone else? Do they avoid fights, or are they aggressive? Or are they passive aggressive and only give the appearance of cooperation?
Landry Culpepper:
Landry is a bit of a spitfire. She is extremely stubborn and opinionated and thus butts heads with most people. Due to this, she often finds herself in conflict. How she reacts in conflict, however, is situational. While Landry is never one to back down, she might act a bit more civil in her approach to the issue if she is arguing with her uncle ( aka her favorite person ). In this case, she might back off with a simple huff or roll of her eyes. This is worlds away from how she would act in a conflict with say a peer, where she would go all out. Although, verbal arguments are more her steelo, she wouldn’t back down from a physical fight if it came down to it.
