- Charlotte Mont-d'Orisn’t a good man at heart, but he does appreciate family and the warmth his own brings. It’s important to him personally what with being an elder son in the Charlotte Family, and having so many responsibilities resting on his shoulders, it’s not often that Mont-d'Orcan find somebody to share his interest in books and knowledge with.- She catches his interest quickly. Mont-d'Oris a suspicious man who soon notices things out of the ordinary, and this lady he finds isn’t quite like the others who wander around Totto Land. The books she carries so lovingly in her arms, the bags of common herbs and ingredients most of the sweet-loving population turns their nose up at, the strange… almost intelligent owl always following her around. The Minister of Cheese soon finds her presence in his homeland to be quite concerning and decides to learn more about her.- Try as he might, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with what she’s doing at all and it burns his ego to realize he’s quickly developed an unhealthy interest in this girl - all without ever having spoken to her once! It pains him to think about shirking his duties, but Mont-d'Ordecides that enough is enough and that he must simply speak to this girl who has captivated him so. Upon learning of her daily schedule, he decides to wait by the bookstore she likes to frequent most and can’t help but grin that he’s read her like the books she carries everywhere. - He’s surprised at how friendly she actually is and that she just has a great interest in many books, particularly the fantasy stories about things like witches, magical spells and curses, herbology and so on. The usually suspicious Mont-d'Or finds himself talking to her quite easily and that she shares many of his interests, the two chatting in the store for a good hour about this and that before she realizes the time and that she really must go.- He inquires why, for he’d actually been enjoying himself and feels a little put off that she’s got to go already. He sees the time, noting in shock that’s already been an hour and he still knows next to nothing about her, but when he turns back, she’s just suddenly… gone.- Oh, how it annoys him so, but the encounter is enough to ignite Mont-d'Or’s interest in the young lady and that there’s somebody else not so different from him here. Well, if he were nicer anyway, and the Minister of Cheese decides to try and learn more about her as much as possible, starting with interrogating the book keeper of the store.- It takes time, but finally Mont-d'Orplucks up the courage to ask her over when he’s got some free time away from his responsibilities to Big Mom. Of course, she’s delighted to visit and see his collection of books if it’s no trouble, and maybe she could bring some of her own? The Minister of Cheese is thrilled, and being a privileged member of the family, it’s quite easy to help her slip in. Not that she really needed the help; somehow she seems quite invisible to the guards, not that they would dare try anything anyway. - Charlotte Mont-d'Oris not a good man at heart, but this lady, whom he soon learns is actually a witch, gradually comes to love and even adore her gentle and intelligent nature, cherishing her extensive knowledge on many things even if some of them he finds to be quite unbelievable. Her talent there, however, is exceeded by her knowledge of herbology and the ‘potions’ she’s able to concoct; healing potions, potions that speed up healing or induce better sleep - her abilities seem limitless, and Mont-d'Orfinds himself jealous for once that this is a realm of knowledge he would forever be limited with.- Not that he’d ever take it out on her, however. She was a witch, and these things came naturally to such beings. While a witch would be an impressive addition to his library, the thoughts never once crossesMont-d'Or’s mind; he’s actually happy for once, and even his siblings remark on how much better his attitude has become over the last few months.- It comes as a big surprise and even a shock to the rest of the Charlotte Family when Mont-d'Or decides to ask for her hand, and if Big Mom would consider allowing her son to marry this fine woman. Who’d have ever expected this little bookworm to capture their most untrusting sibling’s heart!?
