Heyhey everyone! It's officially New Years Eve so here's the "Explaining Fandoms Explained" video I promised.

i have already finished "explaining fandoms explained" and still in need of finishing "spn fandoms explained" because the work is getting harder to deal with. i need an extra hand if someone would like to take some of the load and i will credit you.
"explaining fandoms explained" is gonna be up on new years eve as well as a special new years video from me via youtube.
about to take a shower and then do laundry while i help my mom clean her room.

"It's just a TV show/book/movie/fictional universe/fictional character, it's not important."
The people who say this don't understand. It's not 'JUST a TV show', it's an escape. An escape from the cruel world we live in, where happy endings are hard to find because they usually end in sadness, or death.
These "fictional" places are places we visit to get away from the sadness and pain. They are real in our minds and in our hearts.
We like these worlds more than our own, and if you gave us a choice between their universe and ours, I guarantee you, we will choose theirs in a heartbeat.
It's because theirs are full of wizards, magic, warlocks, mystery, time travel, love, happiness, suspense. Ours is full of brokenness, sadness, pressure, death, loss, bullies, crime, and craziness.
And STILL, you wonder why we even care about these 'fake' worlds? You wonder why we want to go there? You want to know why...? Well...because of people like you, with no imagination.
You're always trying to put us down, always wanting to pull us back to reality when all we want to do is escape reality, that's the whole point of it. You don't know what goes on inside our minds.
I could have depression, anxiety, anorexia. I might cut myself at night, and cry myself to sleep, the only reason I am living is for the next season. These 'unimportant shows' could be the very thing keeping me alive. They could be my life support.
So next time you are about to say "It's not important' think about this post and tell yourself "I don't know what this person is going through. This TV show, movie, book, person, etc. could be the thing that is keeping them alive, keeping them sane. So I should shut up and accept them for who they are. Obsessions and all.'
