Indycar RPF Monthly Challenges - March
No sign ups, no pressure. Join if you are inspired. If things come up and you don't do it/finish it, no big deal. No limit on number of stories you can write. Combine the different challenges together if you want. Ignore the things that don’t inspire you. Really, anything goes.
We’re not going to count your words for the drabble so if you are a word over or a word under, it’s fine. It’s more about the attempt and challenging yourself.
You may post your drabbles/double drabbles in this thread (2000 character limit) if you don’t want to put them on Ao3. You may post Ao3 links or if you’re comfortable with it, share a Google docs link.
A prompt inspires a longer fic that you can’t finish in one month? Wonderful. Give us a teaser or a snippet and don’t forget to post in in the thread when you put it on Ao3.

Chatting/venting/cheering/asking for help about your challenge fic(s) is encouraged.

A: Are we flirting or fighting? Because I'm getting mixed messages.
B: I'm going to sink my teeth into your fucking throat.
A: Yeah, this is just proving my point… mixed messages.
While character A is at work, character B decides to try to cook dinner as a surprise for them. It goes spectacularly bad.
sick villain waking up on the hero's couch, initially calm with the knowledge they're comfortable and being looked after, until they try and move and find their hands cuffed above them
Caretaker stumbling upon a big, scarred pet whumpee in a shelter. although intimidating at first sight, this whumpee was actually severely abused by their previous owner, and are extremely meek and frightened as a result. An employee lets caretaker into whumpee's kennel so they can interact with them before they make their decision. after a few minutes of gently soothing whumpee and convincing them they aren't a threat, whumpee settles into caretaker's lap, giving a contented sigh as caretaker's fingers softly thread through their hair, and caretaker knows they just have to bring them home.
