A Beast!! And because many people have asked for it over on discord, a small guide to how I go about drawing gold/metals under the cut 🫡

Another tip: the shinier you want it to look, the more contrast you want between the dark and light colors!! So if you want something super shiny, make the darkest colors near black, and the lightest ones near white! If you want more dull metals, use less contrast!! Also keep in mind, this guide is just to how I draw metal, I would advise using references when doing detailed pieces 🙏

this is static, she's a shockwing: a tribe of dragons created by whiteout accidentally in a similar way to what happened with the hivewings. shockwings can be any shade of grey, rarely black and white, with yellow/orange accents. sometimes, shockwings are born with silver or gold areas of scales. their powers include being able to store electricity in their bodies like electric eels, which they can discharge at will. they can either work like an electric fence (touch them and get ZAPPED!!!) or like lightning (through the air). other powers include "foreboding", an extremely weak version of nightwing prophecy powers, stormcalling, similar in rarity to animus magic and limited to the royal bloodline, and for some, light generation through their scales due to the electricity within them. electric powers aren't inherent to shockwings, they must charge them up and do not have unlimited usage of them. a very strong shockwing can consistently discharge high voltages of electricity for around 20 minutes before needing to recharge over several hours. they can also crack their tails like whips, creating an extremely loud noise. they're thunder AND lightning.
