Inej was pretending to sleep in her room at the slat thinking about how nina finally got her loved one again, it had 3years 8montjs and 27 days since Matthias had left their side forever, inej missed that big ball of growling fjerdan but she had learnt to get over it, inej heard a sound which was coming from the kitchen 'who is this terrible thief trying to steal kitchen utensils' she thought to herself and crawled down the stairs like the spider she is. Inej caught sight of the back of kaz's head, she could recognise it anywhere. "I thought I was quite but it seems like not quite enough to slip past u" kaz said knowing inej was behind him, she couldn't suprise him anymore, even though she tried a lot. "Well, u are doing very bad then" she replied as she placed herslef silently on the kitch counter this reminded her of the times her mom used to cook sweets for the festival, she wud place herself just like this giving her moth company. "Pass me the sugar, will u" kaz said breaking inej from her dreams of the past that could never return. She passed the sugar to kaz but as he came near to grab it, inej wrapped her legs around kaz's waist, inej wanted to have some fun today. Kaz and inej were healing better now, but yet they only held hands afraid that the other would not like any other response. Kaz chuckled to himself and said " inej the cookies" they looked at each other and kept the comfortable gaze for a full minute, that's when kaz decided to lean in. He was hesitating not sure if inej would like that, but she responded by connecting her lips with his, it was a gentle and soft kiss that lasted only half a minute but it was enough to make both of them completely out of breath. This was the first time that inej had kissed anyone willingly. She could see the blush that crept through kaz's pale neck. "i love u" he said, "i love u too"
