       she was NERVOUS. pathetic, really, but being around this new --- and not exactly improved --- version of theseus did that to her. it was a little frustrating, considering that back when they were friends, he was one of her very favorite people in the world, the one she could be a hundred percent herself with. who liked her for who she was. and now...

      HOWEVER, rosalie decided not to let that upset her anymore. he was changed. she needed to get over it and get used to him. the fact remained: SHE DID WANT HIM AROUND. and perhaps, the feeling could be mutual. he did invite her to dinner to catch up, didn’t he? so maybe, she culd use that opportunity to learn what had happened to him over the years. what had changed him so much. could it have been JUST the war? not that it wasn’t a big thing --- rosalie lost both her brothers to the war.

      but theseus was a fighter, he had always BEEN one. his brother was alive, so he didn’t lose anyone. or, maybe, he just didn’t lose him. upon arriving at his doorstep, rosalie pushed those thoughts away and focused on what was coming. she knocked three times and took a deep breath.
