She was almost up to her Earth apartment door when she heard something go off outside following screams. V let out a sigh as she turned back to the direction of the sounds. “We were so close...”

      Unlike the rest of the firestarters, Jacquelyn had morals she upheld.. such as not risking the life of children. The others didn’t really like how she allowed such a thing to stand in her way, but really, she was no monster.. and the children did not deserved to die due to their parent’s mistakes. 

      So here she was, alone, scouting a house that a small family lived in. It was to be burnt down with the parents inside, but.. the parents had two children, two boys, that Jacquelyn needed to be out of the house. It was hard timing it all, but Jacquelyn was a clever woman, and she managed. Tonight both boys would be out, the parents home.. when, a spark would lighten the whole street. 

      However one thing she did not plan for, was a handsome gentleman stopping her.       Or well, tried to stop her.       She hit him over the head with her spyglass and not knowing what to do, decided to tie the body up in the woods.

general appearance: definitely looks like gustav in regards to hair and eye color, but face shape is definitely similar to jacquelyn’s

personality: definitely driven like her mom, and has the habit to kind of lose herself in focus when she gets to working on something

special talents: art – when she was a kid, her hands were almost always covered in paint, and sometimes she’d even rope gustav into holding still for a ‘portrait’ 

who they like better: gustav both, if anyone asks

who they take after more: while she more or less favors gustav in looks, i think she’d take after jacquelyn personality wise?? 

personal head canon: she has the habit of always carrying around a pencil and sketchpad in the event that the inspiration to draw strikes her (which it often does)

       ‘…great.’ how was it that one of the youngest VOLUNTEERS had to be responsible for keeping so many from setting the world on fire? it didn’t feel all that fair.

“Welcome to the life of a firefighter!” Dewey remarked cheerfully as he hurried out of the building into the street, where plumes of smoke could be seen in the distance. “Huh. It doesn’t seem like that bad a one this time. We must’ve got novices. Or the official fire department actually did something for once.”

In concept, Ernest should have loved firefighting. The statement clothing, the slidey pole, the water hose, the intense and delectable urgency to it all. But Ernest didn’t. No matter how much “good” the fire fighters were doing, something was off. At age five he couldn’t say “what” exactly, but he knew it was something.

He’d always hide when the firefighters went on parade, off to extinguish a fire. They were wonderful. But horrifyingly so.

Justice Strauss didn't mind grocery shopping, not really. Putting recipes together, figuring out spices, trying out a new cookbook - it was all rather relaxing, especially when her job could be so draining.

But it was terribly lonely. And maybe she wouldn't have realized how lonely if she hadn't been shopping with the lovely Baudelaire children, but she wouldn't have traded that experience away. Ever.

She sighed, looking down at her list, then back up. And then...

She knew the young man in front of her from somewhere, but... she was having difficulty remembering just where. Closing her eyes, and furrowing her brow, she thought. And thought. And finally it dawned on her.

"Excuse me!" She called out, voice light but slightly shaky. Such luck, finding someone from that awful night at the theater. "You wouldn't happen to know how the Baudelaire children are doing, would you? You are someone who would know?"
