Day 47 of 200 days of writing
I have got a lot on my to do list today so I haven’t been able to write anything but I have writing on my mind. I’m thinking about finding a fantasy audio book to listen to and I would love you recommendations, nothing too sad.
I also got my hands on an advance reader copy of a translated German book that I started reading today. It was very interesting. I have no idea what it is going to be about but I will keep you posted as I keep reading.
Thanks for stopping by here’s a prompt to take you through the day.
Where do you think your story is waiting for you at? Floating through a dusty street market? Nestled in a crook of a tree outside a Russian village? Being lapped at by the sea on the coast of Peru? Waiting in the clouds as they pass over expanses of grasslands to finally fall on you window?
🎧 Chapter 9 Audiobook: The Blue Lake
A forest of blue needles. A hill overlooking something impossible. A perfectly round lake, vivid and still.
Elias and Fawks leap before they understand what they have found.
In the Common Ground, imagination builds reality. Even nature holds intention.

Oh hey, my favorite Valdemar novel by Mercedes Lackey and Larry Dixon is on sale on Chirp for just $2.99 right now for the audiobook edition. Yes. Please. I was a little girl reading Valdemar all the way into my teen years, passing around an old copy of The Black Gryphon between friends and leaving notes in the margin. When the Owlmage Trilogy wrapped up, I was left wondering for decades what would happen next as new series would explore the past instead of the future of the world. "What's next for Valdemar?"
When we got the answer with Gryphon in Light, I was an adult, and extremely happy to see so many long-running plot threads and hints coming to fruition. Also, during those years of growing up, my husband and I used to go out to help Misty and Larry fix up the place as they got older and needed people with good knees and backs to handle the heavy lifting.
Which is to say that the answer as to what was next for my favorite childhood series... includes both my husband and me =] Or, at least, characters named after us. Not to mention a couple of trans characters in addition to Valdemar's already very-queer cast.
So for $2.99, you, too, can try to guess which character is named after my maiden name! https://www.chirpbooks.com/audiobooks/gryphon-in-light-by-mercedes-lackey-and-larry-dixon-e03ea0f08c

Pretty good month for Audiobooks
Just wanted to remind you guys, or guy, that if you have an itch for audiobooks then I’ve got two books released this month. They’ve both sold pretty well, and I want to continue that surge of sales well into next month.
Stratus Online, written by Drew Cordell
A LitRPG, or GameLit, novel about a down on his luck 20-something who bites off a bit more than he can chew. Written and narrated in a first person perspective, the reader/listener hears the protagonists thoughts on events that happen to him as they happen. You can find the book here.
The Sorcerer’s Legacy, Book 3 of the Sorcerer’s Path, written by Brock Deskins
Third book in the Sorcerer’s Path series, this book continues Azerick’s journey to find a place for himself in the world. Even when he does find a home, the machinations of the darker forces that pervade the world still find a way to drag him into their squabbles. You can find the book here.
If you like what you hear please consider buying these books and some of the other audiobooks I’ve worked on. Every little bit helps. And if you want, send me a message asking for a promo code as I still have those lying around collecting dust.
‘Till next time!
