The were-sabertooth is Rajan, a character that belongs to a DeviantArt buddy. I made this for him back in 2006. The two species of birds are creatures of his own design which inhabit a far-flung world.
I made this with ink, watercolor, and Prismacolor pencil.

I’m trying to challenge myself with quick landscapes using a different limited palette each time. The first one I just really wanted to draw an owl, and I’ve been enjoying putting birds in the rest.

Some fantasy birds
The first one is called Misty Crow (Corvus nebulosa).
The second one is bird from my dream many years ago. Golden birb that changes color to blue when feels threatened. Because of that, it kind of reminds me of a Pansy flower. Maybe to name it after that plant.
