Hi Systlin! I started to follow a god (was secular witch) that is completely based and established in pop culture. The thing is that I know the stuff of his work, I have a theory why it works (basically "belief is fuel" kinda) and I would like to ask if you would be so kind if to read my theory? Cause I know most witches laugh and scoff at anybody that even thinks about working with gods or energies that are pop culture based so I would like maybe help or a friendly advice if its ok with you?
I don’t scoff at that. How do any of us know where the gods came from, after all? Humans are powerful in our own right, after all, and wrap enough emotions and power up, shaped by perception, and who knows what you’ll get?
Or maybe that pop culture shape was shaped by other things or beings, influencing here and there, and a god then recognizes that shape as an aspect of itself. I know this is how the pop culture image of a wizard works with Odin, after all.
All in all, who knows?
If it works it works. I’m not going to belittle such things.
